Al-Alamein Military Museum aims to document Al-Alamein battle by introducing a group of weapons, armors, and models which symbolize Al-Alamein battles and the contributing forces, besides a group of battle course-of-action maps, as well as acquisitions of battle commanders
Commonwealth Cemeteries
It contains the graves of men who died at all stages of the Western Desert campaigns, brought in from a wide area, but especially those who died in the Battle of El Alamein at the end of October 1942 and in the period immediately before that. Now, it contains 7,239 Commonwealth burials of the Second World War, of which 814 are unidentified. There are also 102 war graves of other nationalities.
Memorial German Military El Alamein
El Alamein German War Cemetery was built in the shape of a fortress. It contains 4,213 German burials from the Second and 30 from the First World War. There are also 31 casualties with an unknown nationality buried here.
Italian Cemetery at Al Alamein
The Italian war memorial at El Alamein is an Italian war cemetery, museum, and memorial to the Italian soldiers who fought at the two Battles of El Alamein in World War II.
