The Papyrus Gallery and Lunch
After touring Giza Pyramids, We will have to stops to recharge our batteries after long walking. The first stop will be at the Papyrus Gallery to see the oldest paper ever made at the time of the Pharaohs, which is Papyrus, where they began using it 5000 years ago, they used it for over 3000 years and wrote a lot about their daily life and their beliefs about the after life, so Papyrus has become our best source of knowledge about ancient Egypt. You will see the raw material itself, which is a plant and the process to transform it into paper.
* The second stop is lunch at an excellent restaurant serves delicious authentic Egyptian food. It costs 25$ for each one, you pay it on the same day of the tour.
Memphis
We will visit an open-air museum to see the amazing artifacts have remained from Memphis, which was the first capital city of the ancient Egypt. Memphis is about 30 km from Giza Pyramids. We will see there the gigantic statue of King Ramses II, who was the greatest king of ancient Egypt. the statue is massive, made of one block of limestone weighs 83 tons. we will see also other attractive artifacts remained from the lost city of Memphis.
kindly note that we have built the open-air museum on the same location of the ancient Memphis, which means you will enjoy seeing monuments on the same place of the discovery.
Saqqara
It is one of the oldest and most important archaeological sites in Egypt,
the history dates back to the 28th century BC. Saqqara was a major burial ground in ancient Egypt exactly like Valley of the Kings in Luxor, but Saqqara is much older, where the history of Saqqara began in the third dynasty, While Valley of the Kings began during the 18th dynasty which came to power almost 1300 years later.
In Saqqara, we will enjoy visiting the Step Pyramid, which is the first pyramid ever built in history, it is 4700 years old!
