About Tour Guide Aly E.

Hello, everyone. I am an officially licensed Egyptologist and English-speaking tourist guide. As a dedicated Egyptologist-guide, I serve as a vibrant link between the ancient world and today, which is what truly elevates a tour into something memorable. Rather than viewing monuments as mere stone structured or curved, but rather I encourage guests to listen to them whispering the stories of ancient artisans, priests, and ordinary Egyptians, transforming a simple sightseeing trip into a rich dialogue that spans the ages. By highlighting modern Egyptian culture—its cuisine, music, and warmth—I help travelers feel they’re part of an ongoing story rather than just spectators of history. My passion for flexibility means we can shift from a busy tomb to a charming local café whenever curiosity strikes. This comprehensive approach not only enhances visitors' understanding but also fosters a sense of belonging, making Egypt feel like a second home. It’s a striking reminder that heritage tourism is most vibrant when we blend archaeology, contemporary culture, and genuine connections.

Excellent Egyptologist with strong connections – unforgettable Dahshur & Saqqara day

I booked Aly for a deeply meaningful visit to Saqqara and Dahshur on my birthday, and overall I had a very memorable experience. Aly is knowledgeable, well connected, and clearly has long experience working in these archaeological areas. His strength is that he is not just a guide reading from a script — he has real relationships with guards and because of that we were able to access areas and tombs that I would not have known about or been able to arrange alone. The Dahshur pyramids were incredible, and the Red Pyramid interior was one of the highlights of my entire trip. Aly also went out of his way to make my birthday special. He arranged a lovely lunch, and surprised me with a birthday cake and even an Egyptian band at the restaurant. As a solo traveller, this meant a lot and made me feel celebrated. One thing I would advise future travellers is to clarify in advance whether the tour is strictly private/solo if that’s what you are intending, as my tour ended up including three other travellers. They were lovely people and Aly did compensate by including lunch, but I had originally booked and paid for a solo experience, so I would have preferred to know ahead of time rather than being asked on the spot. Overall, I would definitely recommend Aly if you want a guide with deep local access, strong organisation, and a very full day of ancient sites — especially Memphis, Saqqara and Dahshur
