What a great experience! Joerg was an incredible source of information. He was conversational, open to our questions and ready to answer. Day trip to female concentration camp of Ravensbrueck
A 1 hour train ride will bring us to the town in the north. In Ravensbrueck nearly 150.000 mostly female prisoners were arrested under terrible conditions. About 50.000 died here. We will explore the many stations of the memorial for 3-4 hours. The site is not overcrowded and you learn more about the suffering of female prisoners under female SS guards. The town is a very beautiful spa town what makes the site even more terrible.
