We start at modern central Berlin and roll up a century full of changes including 2 world wars, 5 massive changes in German political system. Our tour will also point out differneces and similarities to todays politics. We will learn more about ideologies, that were moving people worldwide and that are responsible for many millions killed.
Follow traces of Prussias glory the giantism of Hitler and the socialist propaganda which was never fullfilled.

Meeting Point
Berlin Main Train Station
- The guide will wait with a rainbow couloured umbrella at Gustav Heinemann Bridge (pedestrians only). You leave Main Train Station via Washington Square und walk another hundred meters towards the "Reichstag" building.
Reichstag
After passing Moltke-Bridge, the Chancellery, the "Elisabet-Lüders-Building" for the parliamentarians we will have a stop at this impressing house of German parliament from 1894 serving the empire, the Weimar republic, the early Nazi dictatorship and today united Germany. Learn about the controversial history of German history. We will talk about how the Weimar republic drowned for many reasons and how Hitler installed his brutal dictatorship within weeks.
Soviet WWII Memorial in the British Sector of Tiergarten
See a very pathetic memorial set on Hitlers planned axis of victory by the winners of the battle of Berlin.
We will talk about WWII, defeated Berlin, Cold War and todays problems on the former eastern front.
Brandenburg Gate
The gate is a very importand symbol for the German nation. National identity was formed here in the middle of the 19th century. It has seen Napoleon entering and Spartakist uprises. It became a symbol of a defeated and divided country. It became a symbol of fall of the Wall and reunification.
Memorial for the murdered Jews in Europe
A very abstract memorial in the heart of the country. Too big to hide and so a clear sign of awareness. No official interpretation gives space for your interpretations. We will learn about the developement of the final solution.
Hitlers Bunker
You will need imagination and some informations to visualize Hitlers last days. We will talk about the no-patriotism of the dictatorship scrificing so many lifes in the terrible battle of Berlin. Learn about the creepy end of one of the most terrible monsters of the 20th century.
Nazi minstry of aviation
We will talk about this massive building formed in modern esthetics but cold geometry. It serves till today as a ministry building.

We will see testemonies of 2 dictatorships at one spot.

Day trip to female concentration camp of Ravensbrueck
A 1 hour train ride will bring us to the town in the north. In Ravensbrueck nearly 150.000 mostly female prisoners were arrested under terrible conditions. About 50.000 died here. We will explore the many stations of the memorial for 3-4 hours. The site is not overcrowded and you learn more about the suffering of female prisoners under female SS guards. The town is a very beautiful spa town what makes the site even more terrible.
