- We begin our morning by witnessing grandeur and magnificence of Change of President of India's Bodyguard ceremony that happens on the foregrounds of Presidents home - the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

AMRIT UDYAN (President's Garden)

Spread over 15 acres, this President's garden is known as the soul of President's home. Amrit Udyan will be a landscaping marvel where visitors can witness rare seasonal flowers from February to March.

There is a curated garden for children called Bal Vatika with a story of a 225-year-old Sheesham tree, a treehouse etc. Then there are the Bonsai, Circular Gardens with a diverse variety of flora and fauna. There is also a vibrant food court where visitors can have refreshments and witness ongoing exhibitions.

Rashtrapati Bhawan

The royal ending to this tour is a visit to the official residence of the President of India.

Built in 1911, it is an architectural beauty, an iconic H-shaped mansion, spread over 5 acres within a vast 330-acre estate, comprises 340 rooms across four floors and features nearly 2.5 kilometers of corridors. It has many unique architectural features such as Sanchi stupa influenced dome, chhatris , and intricate jali work which highlight traditional Indian design elements.

We catch a glimpse of its major areas open to public by first paying reverence to Avalokiteshvara sculpture, move to Ganatantra mandap, Banquet hall as we witness the spirit of the Indian Republic and the continuity of its democratic traditions.

Tour Important Information

This tour involves a lot of walking, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes.

This tour is not recommended for those with severe back/knee problems.

Please let me know in advance if you have any food allergies or other dietary restrictions.

Change of Guard ceremony only happens on Saturdays.

Amrit Udyan is open only from 3rd February to 31st of March

Rashtrapati Bhawan tour is closed on Mondays.

Kindly note:

If you are not available to do a tour on Saturday, we can skip Change of Guard and instead do Sunset evening tour adding walk on Kartavaya Path with lighted Raisina Hill (a photo attached)
