This tour focuses on the latest version of the city, the Ottoman city. After the destruction of the Medieval city by the Mamluks in the late 13th century, Acre became a small port village until a wave of development began in the 17th century by Fakhr al-Din ibn Maan, followed by Dahir al-Umar al-Zidani & Ahmad Pasha al-Jazzar, the result of which is the current, living old city! culture, religion, architecture, conservation, culinary, recent history, art, politics, coexistence & more!
