Board the special vehicle 4X4
Drive from 1800 to 2900 meters and reach the volcano observatory of Mount Etna
Start the trekking tour to Summit Craters of Mount Ertna
Hike 1,5 hours to reach the top of the volcano
Reach the Top of Mount Etna at 3300 meters
Stand by the edge of the four summit craters of the volcano, walking along volcanic fumarols, surrounded by an amazing landscape
Walk down to 2900 meters
Hike down for 1,5 hours
Return with the 4X4 vehicle
Board the 4X4 and drive back to Piano Provenzana

Travelers should have a strong physical fitness level. The tour is absolutely forbidden to pregnant woman’s, people with heart and blood pressure problems, diabetes, asthma, knee or back problems, altitude sickness or other serious medical conditions.
The itinerary may be subject to change depending on local restrictions due the volcanic activity, weather conditions, or other factors that may affect the safety or feasibility of the hike.
Only children from 12 years old can join this tour.

“Perfect Day in Sicily with Vincenzo”
There were four of us on this tour and Vincenzo provided a perfect day for us. We started with a stop in a bakery in a small village on the drive up to north side of Etna. Then a short hike up to the 1865 lava fields during which Vincenzo explained the history and characteristics that make Etna special. We then went to the village of Milo where Vincenzo had arranged for us to have freshly made arancini and wine on the main square with breaktaking views of the sea. Then a stop in Taormina for cappuccino and shopping capped a perfect day. Thank you Vincenzo for your wonderful hospitality!
