• The Elephant Orphanage is a heartwarming sanctuary dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned elephants, often due to poaching or human-wildlife conflict.
• You have the incredible opportunity to witness the playful antics of baby elephants during their feeding and mud-bathing sessions, fostering a deeper understanding of conservation efforts in action.
Adapting a baby elephant is allowed at the Orphanage (the baby will be given your name and you can be a sponsor to see it grow.
The Giraffe Centre is an opportunity for visitors to interact closely with giraffes. The center is home to a small herd of Rothschild's giraffes, which are native to Kenya and Uganda and are one of the most endangered giraffe subspecies. You will have the opportunity to hand-feed and photograph with these majestic creatures from an elevated platform, allowing for a unique and memorable experience.
At Giraffe Centre we can have lunch or proceed to the Utamaduni Centre for lunch and a visit to one of the finest art shops.
Curio shops in Kenya offer a vibrant array of traditional crafts, artwork, and souvenirs that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the country. These shops are popular destinations for tourists seeking unique items to take home as memories of their visit to Kenya. From hand-carved wooden sculptures to intricately beaded jewelry, there is a diverse range of goods available
Finally, conclude your day with a visit to Kobe Beads a community-based initiative that empowers local women by teaching them bead-making skills and providing them with a source of income.
