“First timers in Seoul”

Being our first time in Korea, we felt very intimidated not knowing anything about the culture, transportation or area. Not to mention being an only english speaking family. We found Kelly on GWG, she responded quickly and was able to answer all our questions. Even helped with our travel days and gave us great advice. We wanted to get a taste of Seoul. We only planned to be there only 2 sightseeing days and Kelly planned a great itinerary for us. We wanted to shop, eat and see some of the cultural (tourist) sites. We visited many places including the emperors palace and Seoul Tower. Went to a couple of street markets and hit some major shopping districts like Apgujung and Seongsu. I have to say one thing about Seoul, Kelly showed us taxis are great public transportation. Quick, direct and not expensive like Tokyo. Seoul has some great shopping, especially for young adults like our son. Kelly made sure he had lots of options. Found some of the merch he wanted including a new drop that was just released! Even found a Pop Mart that had "Labubu" but we missed getting one. Myeongdong Street is a great place to walk around, shop and eat. There are lots of street food vendors and great shops everywhere you look. Kelly is a joy, easy going and made our first trip to Korea a blessing. She planned everything and showed us how to navigate and get around Seoul. Her english is like she is from the U.S. We couldn't ask for a better guide. Thank you so much, we appreciate all you did to make our trip such a success! All your help and guidance is and was greatly appreciated!

Paul was an amazing and very knowledgeable guide. He not only took us for a day tour of the Temples, Palaces and Shrines but he also provided great context by giving us a historical insight in Confucianism with its social and moral framework and how it has had a profound impact on the modern South Korea. It's gratitude to meet good guests, and even grateful for good will and sharing humor with guests! Center of tour is architecture! Architectural style represents spirit of times. Confucianism is spirit of Joseon Dynasty, which was last dynasty just before current Korea. Confucianism is Korea's cultural identity. Appreciation of Korea's tradition architecture, art and cragts require knowledge of Confucianism. Without knowledge of Confucianism, appreciation cannot create intense memory, but we are just fascinated by their superficial beauty that cannot last long.
