If you’ve ever felt nervous about traveling in Korea because of the language barrier, this experience is for you.
In just 3 hours, you’ll learn the basics of Hangul and practice essential Korean expressions with my custom workbook.
We’ll start with a fun indoor session, reading Hangul, writing your name, and saying useful phrases. Then we’ll head out to practice in real life.
Once you can read Hangul and say a few key phrases, Korea opens up to you and it gets a lot more fun.
This itinerary can be customized to meet your needs and preferences. Send me a message with your requests!
Meeting Point
Jonggak Station Exit 4 (Line no.1)
Hangul Lesson
We’ll start in a conference room near Jonggak Station. I’ll introduce you to the basics of Hangul using my own easy-to-follow workbook. You’ll learn to recognize Korean letters, sound out words, and write your name in Korean. We’ll also practice key travel phrases that you can use right away.
Real-life Hangul Practice Around Jongno
Time to apply what you’ve learned! We’ll take a short walk through the neighborhood and practice reading real signs, on shops, restaurants, and street signs. You’ll build confidence by recognizing actual Hangul words in public spaces.
Try Taking a Korean Bus
Let’s take public transportation like a local. We’ll board a city bus together and follow the route while reading station signs and announcements in Korean. You’ll learn how to use your T-money card, where to tap in and out, and how to track your stop using an app or Hangul signs.
Practice at a Local Market
We’ll arrive at a traditional local market, where you’ll use your new Hangul skills to understand prices, and order something in Korean. This is a fun and supportive way to try speaking with locals and experience the real vibe of Seoul.

Hi! I’m Jeeseon.
Over the past several years, I’ve been working as a licensed guide, leading travelers from around the world through palaces, temples, hanok villages, traditional markets, and Seoul’s hidden local neighborhoods. I especially enjoy introducing guests to off-the-beaten-path gems and sharing the city’s authentic local atmosphere. Many of my guests say it feels like exploring the city with a thoughtful local friend.
I design every tour with care, balancing history, culture, and everyday life, so each guest can experience Seoul in a personal and memorable way. Guiding is more than a job to me, it’s a way to connect people with the heart of Korea.
My tours are ideal for curious travelers who want more than just sightseeing. I specialize in:
Korean history and culture storytelling
Practical Hangul learning experiences
Hidden gem exploration for repeat travelers
An orientation tour for first-time travelers to Korea with a Hangul learning session
