In 2018, I proudly earned my Master's Degree in Mesoamerican Studies from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). My name is Edelmira and I am a tour guide in Oaxaca, Mexico. Oaxaca is the gateway to an abundance of art and handicrafts, renowned native cuisine, fascinating history, and rich cultural heritage. The most popular time to visit Oaxaca city are Christmas-New Year's, the Guelaguetza dance festival in July and the Day of the Dead. Oaxaca is a colonial city founded in the 16th Century. The United Nations recognized the city of Oaxaca and the Archaeological Zone of Monte Albán in 1987 as World Heritage Sites. The cultural wealth is also abundant outside the city. “Amazing experience visiting Teotihuacan!”
We had the best day with Hilary! She was so knowledgeable and so open, friendly and easy to talk to! She really brought the ancient city of Teotihuacan to life for us - she also took us to a great place for lunch; we would have never found this one on our own! I would highly recommend Hilary as a tour guide!
