My name is Jeronimo (Jeroen). I'm Mexican and European. I studied economics with a specialization in International Management at Maastricht University, The Netherlands. I have always been fascinated by Latin America. After my studies I worked as a consultant, entrepreneur and commercial director in Belgium, Brazil, The Netherlands, Guatemala, and Argentina. I have been active in humanitarian aid in Third World countries worldwide. I have travelled extensively to Africa, Eastern Europe and Latin America. I have worked as a tour conductor in France, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Belize and Indonesia. Mexico is where I decided to stay twenty years ago. I started off with groups of 20 people with trips of 28 days from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Belize and back to Mexico. After this I switched to trips of 21 days visiting the same countries. After having visited each archaeological site over 60 times, each time with another local guide, I decided to study Mexican History and Archaeology, inspired by some of the local guides who told the tourists that the Mayas landed from Mars in spaceships. I am specialized in Maya culture. Working with people and showing them different cultures is what fascinates me. In 2004, I started off with the big tour companies like TUI and Thomas Cook, who commercialized the trips from 28 days and reduced it to 12 days. I did that for 10 years, after which I went on as a private tour guide/driver for small groups. I offer private day tours and multi day tours to all archaeological sites and nature parks transportation included in English, French, German, Dutch, and Spanish.

Hello, i'am Hernan and i was born and raised in the beautiful city of Merida. During my childhood and youth, joined the boy scouts, played baseball and basketball with some local teams, but also i explored my city with a friend every sunday with our bycicles. After a some months our adventures continued to the outskirts of the city, discovering mayan communities and some cenotes where we got to swimm often. My first job in tourism was in the year 2007 as a driver for a tour company in Cancun city. In the year 2010 i've got my certification as a licensed tour guide. For the next 7 years through this fantastic job i had the opportunity to meet wonderful people from all over the world, and know many states, citys and small communities in this country. Mexico city, Puebla, Oaxaca, Chiapas, the Yucatan Peninsula and all the mexican caribbean, as well as other countries like Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Belice and Cuba. Leading multiday tours as long as 2 months in a row with same group of travelers or multiple different travelers. Small groups as 2 people, but often groups of 18 to 20 people. Many stories, anecdotes and experiences have acummulated ever since. Bycicle tours as long as 2 weeks in the Yucatan Peninsula and in the mountains of Oaxaca, 9 seasons of swimming with whalesharks in the mexican caribbean, , many times snorkeling in the mesoamerican barrier coral reef, photography tours, scuba diving the blue hole in Belice, jumping and swimming in many cenotes, birdwatching, many mayan achaeological sites, camping, kayaking in wetlands of Sian Kaan biosphere reserve, river rafting in Chiapas, two season of monarch butterfly in the state of Mexico, etc etc.

“Chichen Itza / Valladaios Tour ”
What an amazing tour Jeroen was very informative and knowledgeable about the Mayan and Mexican culture. He was very personable and accommodating in all our request. The customization of the tour allowed us to be the first to enter Chichen Itza to take amazing photos before the crowds showed up. Have lunch at an amazing restaurant and walking around town.

“An excellent tour with an excellent guide”
Whenever you are about to visit CDMX and are considering getting a local guide, Oskar should be your go-to person. Our tour exceeded my expectations - not only did we (I) not have to look at the watch, Oskar provided the most comfortable environment for such an event by sharing his knowledge, giving hints & tips when it comes to local food, and - where needed - helping out as a translator.
