Upon his return from Europe in 1922 Diego Rivera was commissioned by the then Minister of Education Jose Vasconcelos, to paint the walls of the Bolivar Amphitheater of the Old College of San Idelfonso, giving birth to one of the most influential art movements in the world. Rivera and his contemporaries David Alfaro Siqueiros, and Jose Clemente Orozco, worked with fresco techniques depicting the greatness of becoming a nation.

“CDMX City Center”

Everything was great. Roberto gave a very detailed history of Mexico and Mexico City through the eyes of several famous muralists. We also saw important cultural/historical centers like the cathedral and the Aztec temple. We never felt rushed and he gave us plenty of time to ask questions and learn. Great experience!

“Castle and anthropology museum tour ”

We had the privilege of having a tour of the castle and the anthropology museum with Roberto G. What a treat! Roberto is educated in so many fields and brought with him a wealth of knowledge about Mexican history, Art, Society, and so much more. We could’ve listened to him for hours, and we didn’t want to say goodbye when it was over. I cannot recommend him highly enough. If you are lucky enough to have a tour with Roberto you will learn about Mexico and Mexican history and be grateful for his time and knowledge. Karen
