My name is Miroslava. I'm a native of Xochimilco and a proud winner of the most meaningful beauty contest in CDMX 'La flor más bella del ejido' 2006. Because of this, I became a cultural ambassador and guardian of my culture and community. I learned embroidery from my grandma when I was 12 years old, and later on, I continued learning from handcrafter friends from different communities around Mexico. I've been teaching and holding workshops on embroidery since 2010. In 2012, I launched a brand/workshop called "TRAMA", which now, after 13 years of experience and building a community of handcrafters, offers not only artisanal products and workshops but also unique experiences to visit and live Xochimilco's culture and nature.

Living in a small coastal community is truly a privilege, and I’m proud to be part of a culture that values the rich secrets held by the Chontales, our local people. The Oaxaca coast is a surfer’s paradise, with over 20 incredible surf spots nestled along just 100 kilometers between Salina Cruz and Huatulco. Great Experience

If you are interested in archeology, anthropology, ancient culture and Mexican history and culture, Rafel was a great guide! He knows the information and can answer questions and make explanations of things not on the list. Rafel’s English is excellent. His vehicle is very nice. He’s a good driver. And he knows all the sites-and when there is extra time, he adds more visits. He also knows many local places for food. He was very patient and helpful with 2 tourists in their 70s. We loved our trip!

True expert!

Roberto lives and breathes Mexican culture and history. His passion is evident!! Roberto took his time with tours and wasn’t tied to the clock. He is well traveled and experienced in many things, so was an interesting conversationalist as well.
