The Marrakech Medina is situated in the southwestern parts of Morocco near the Atlas Mountains, which extend for 2 400 kilometers. It is thought that the Medina's name 'Marrakech' originated from the Berber language. During the Almoravidian period the Marrakech Medina prospered and became an economic, political and cultural center of Morocco.

Walk in the Koutoubia Mosque Gardens
The Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech with a 67.5 meter high minaret. The tower is an excellent example of Hispano-Moorish art. Continue to Bahia Palace, which is surrounded by beautiful gardens filled with fruit trees and lightly scented flowers. Built in the 19th century, the palace was to be the largest palace of its time.

Walk in the Souks of the Medina
Leaving the Bahia Palace, you will continue to the cedar wood domes and marble columns of the Saadian tombs. Dating back to the time of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur (1578-1603), the Tombs were only discovered in 1917 and restored after making them one of the most popular attractions for visitors to Marrakech.
Visit the Jamaa El Fna square & Herbs Cooperative
Before returning to your hotel in Marrakech, you will have a walk in the square to see and explore all the Art Items, and music groups. then you will also stop at an herbalist for a presentation of the spices and plants used in traditional Moroccan medicine.
End of the Tour
After the visit I will take you back to the Hotel.
