At your hotel
We will pick you up from the (Airport ,hotel, Port ...)then start the journey across the spectacular Rif mountains towards Tetouan and along incredibly dramatic landscapes, and then arrive in Chefchaouen an artsy, blue-washed village nestled in the Rif Mountains. The old medina is a delight of Moroccan and Andalusian influence with red-tiled roofs, bright-blue buildings and narrow lanes converging on busy Plaza Uta el-Hammam and its restored kasbah. Here you will spend a night in a nice Riad/Hotel with a panoramic view that allows you to enjoy the breeze and the beauty of the nature.
After breakfast in the Riad your authentic journey will start towards Volubilis crossing Wazan and other Rif villages. In Volubilis you will discover the Roman ruins and learn about the archaeological site of Moroccan history. After the visit of the ruins you will shift our way to Meknes the seventeenth century heritage site where you will stop for lunch and hang around the medina and Bab el Mansour. Then, we will drive you to Fes, where you will spend the night.
We’ll start the day exploring the oldest city in Morocco, snaking through its alleys and narrow streets. We’ll begin sightseeing at the Royal Palace gate, followed by the Jewish headquarter where the first Mellah ever was built in Morocco, during the 16th century. We’ll ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region. We’ll also visit the Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you’ll visit many different cooperatives and then, experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes.
The day begins with a drive towards the Atlas Mountains stopping to visit the village Ifrane, where we’ll get a chance to explore the famous cedar forest, home to the Berber apes. We’ll then continue through the Tiz Ntalghamt Mountain Pass and the Ziz Gorge (here we can stop for pictures and some local mint tea) to Midelt. We then continue to Merzouga, arriving at our campsite where we’ll spend the night.
We’ll wake up and head to a local hotel where you’ll get a chance to freshen up and enjoy a complimentary breakfast before we head to Ouarzazate. On the way there, well visit Berber villages home to The Todra and Dades Gorge. At the Dades Gorge, we’ll stop at a local hotel where we’ll spend the night.
After breakfast, we’ll continue our tour towards Ouarzazate through the path of a thousand Kasbahs (fortress) stopping at Kalaat Mgouna, the center of the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual Rose Festival. Then, we’ll drive through Ait Ben Haddou ( a UNESCO World Heritage site). After that we will take the way to cross the Hight Atlas Mountains which offers panoramic views and Berber villages all along the way till Marrakech.
Today we’ll have a guided tour of Marrakesh. You will explore the main attractions and monuments of the city including the famous Jamma el Fna square, Koutoubia mosque, the souks, palaces, and museums. We’ll also explore parts of the city such as Gueliz, The Menara Gardens, and Majorelle.
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred (punctually) to the airport for departure.
