Enter the Church of the Holy Trinity located within the grounds of the Sanctuary of Fátima. Inaugurated in 2007, the Church of the Holy Trinity is designed to welcome pilgrims of all nationalities, with a capacity for 400,000 people.
Erected by the community in 1919, following a request from Our Lady during one of her apparitions, this sacred space features the image of Our Lady, symbolizing the exact spot where the shepherd children witnessed the heavenly visions beneath the holm oak tree. Take a moment to light a candle or collect blessed water, connecting with the spiritual essence of this revered site.
Nestled at the very spot where the three shepherd children used to play during the time of the first Apparition, this Basilica now cradles the tombs of these witnesses who beheld the apparitions of Fátima.

At the age of ten, she couldn't read or write when she allegedly saw, for the first time, Our Lady in Cova da Iria, along with her cousins Francisco and Jacinta Marto. Lúcia was the only one among the three cousins who spoke with the Virgin Mary.

We will walk a section of the Way of the Cross, starting from the 9th station out of a total of 14 stations commemorating the Passion of the Lord and a 15th corresponding to the Resurrection. Finally, we will reach the Calvary where a chapel dedicated to Saint Stephen is located.
