Hello Simon, first of all thanks so much for your kind review and lovely words about your experience exploring the Northen part of Portugal. We had 3 very different days, as there is a variety of things to do and see in this region, and was great you wanted to have this depth experience of Portugal! Braga and Guimarães was in fact a day away, seeing the life and architecture of the cities near Porto, but eventhough we have done so many things, was a very relaxed day! I'm glad you were able to see Bom Jesus de Braga, from a picture to reality and enjoyed the walk around Guimarães!
