With over 15 years of experience in the wine business, my best recommendation for a comfortable and enjoyable journey is to visit two family-run wineries for tastings—one in the morning and another in the afternoon, plus delicous lunch break!

Along this scenic route, you'll have the chance to admire a unique and breathtaking landscape—majestic bridges, lush green hills with wndless terraced vineyards, beautiful olive trees and the long Douro river that make this Valley tour trully unforgettable!

It's immensely wide, beautiful and fully covered of incredible little villages and endless vinyeards up on sculptured terraces, dozen of rivers and breathtaking landscape all around...

Amazing restaurants can be found in the region, some wineries have their own private kitchens or even offer picnicking options for a nice sunny day outdoors.

Pinhão (Port wine territoire)

Normally our tours are divided in three different parts, after lunch we'll suggest another visit and tasting (in order you can appreciate and understand) the diversity of table wines, port wines or even olive oil...

Just to give you an idea, this region has hundreds of different grape varieties and "blended" wines are probably the most wanted ones.

“Lovely Douro Valley ”

The day started off a bit, dreary, weatherwise. But Rui made it a perfect day. The drive to the valley was lovely, but the valley itself is spectacular. Rui and our driver were fun and informative. We had a lovely river cruise, and then we were taken to a spectacular family winery -Pedro Milanos- for tastings, of not just wine, but the olive oil and strawberry jam that they also homemake. . And finally an amazing lunch at a local restaurant. Can’t say another good things about the Porto Butler and this tour.

“Highly recommend travel with Rui”

We had an enjoyable experience with Rui. He picked us up on time in Belmonte, and drove safely to Porto, with stops along the way in Coimbra and Aviero. We toured the University and other stops in Coimbra, and took a boat ride along the canal in Aviero. Rui was very accommodating to our schedule, and easy to work with. Highly recommended.
