Nara area used to be a Capital of Japan for 80 years (Heijyoukyou;A.D.708-810).After transferring the Capital to Kyoto, Nara was remained as a center of Buddhism. Although many temples remained such as Todaiji and Kohukuji, many other temples have been established but abolished in its long history, then only stone Buddha images are remained as an evident of the history.

This is a lovely neighborhood of “Gangbuk” Seoul behind famous Mt. Bugak, with a wide variety of offerings, scenic and fascinating, but only a few “insiders” know about its very charming character. We will visit the “Sword-Washing Pavilion”, then a beautiful waterfall with a colorful Buddhist temple right next to it! We will proceed into a hidden quiet peaceful area with late-Joseon-era ruins-relics amidst great trees. Then along a high ridge with great views, and some unique cafes & others.

The Langtang Valley has long been a favorite trek due to its expansive views, interesting Tamang culture, relatively gentle pace and accessibility from Kathmandu. The 2015 earthquake and subsequent landslide had an enormous effect on the region, but aid and reconstruction have recently reopened this valley to trekking again. Not only is it still a beautiful trek, your visit will also provide vital support for local livelihoods.

There are a lot of wonderful places in Kyoto, especially in the cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons. But, because of that, such places are so busy. So I escort you to not busy, but still beautiful places. Sometimes I wonder why tourists don't visit those places. This tour is to visit such places and I don't walk on a busy road. In the end, I'd like to recommend a restaurant, considering your allergy or preference.

Tanba-Sasayama : Hyogo Golden Route (one of five tours)

Hyogo prefecture is about 150km long in north-south direction. There are many sight seeing spots, not only Kobe, Himeji but also Izush-Toyooka, Tanba-Sasayama Awaji island. So Hyogo government decleared "Hyogo Golden Route" as recommended tours. I would like to guide those areas where tourists do not know well. Each area is one day tour. You can have a different experience from Kyoto or Osaka.

This tour is to enjoy the less busy area near the popular spot. We walk along the beautiful downhill course in Toriimoto, which is listed as a Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings. You will see another bamboo forest. We finish in the busy and popular Arashiyama area.

In the neighborhood of Shibuya, there are good destinations not very touristy. Let us enjoy walking in a High-end residential area and stylish town, dropping by an old house, a temple, and Starbucks Roastery, one of the five roasteries in the world. **Starbucks Roastery is terribly busy during the cherry blossom season, during this period, we skip the roastery.

Kyoto-Uji and a Fushimi Brewery

If you've visited Kyoto before, how about visiting Uji? There is a wonderful place there called Byodo-in. It was built to resemble heaven on earth. It has a thousand-year history and a beautiful original building. You can also visit the lovely flower gardens at the Mimurotoji temple. It's a mecca for azaleas and hydrangeas. On the way back to Kyoto, we can see the sake breweries in Fushimi.

Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine, the Largest Burial Mounds in Japan

The Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine was founded in 211 and is dedicated to the sea gods which are the Sumiyoshi Sanjin (Sumiyoshi three gods) and the Empress Jingu. It's the headquarters of the approximately 2,300 Sumiyoshi shrines nationwide. About 2.35 million people visited the shrine during the first three days of the New Year in 2013. Then we'll move to Sakai-higashi Station by train. You can see a panoramic view of Osaka city including Abeno Harukas.

Tea Farm Visit in Fuji Area

An impressive view of green tea fields with Mt. Fuji can be enjoyed in this area if the weather is fine. Let’s enjoy visiting a tea farm here to experience tea picking, have a look at tea factory and taste a good cup of tea. You can also visit Fujinomiya Sengen Shrine which is one of Fujisan World cultural Heritage sites, a long-established sake brewery and prize-winning Yakisoba noodle. I’d like you to fully enjoy this one day tour at the foot of Mt. Fuji!
