About Tour Guide Shusaku M.
My name is Shusaku. I was born and raised in Osaka, where I had the opportunity to immerse myself in the beautiful landscapes and rich culture of the region.
During my travels to 10 different countries, I came to realize the importance of listening to the locals to truly understand the culture and charm of a place. This experience taught me that local knowledge and experiences are invaluable in building a deeper understanding and connection while traveling.
In my tours, I make it a point to not only showcase the popular tourist destinations but also to share insights into the everyday lives of locals and the culture of the region. By incorporating stories and knowledge from locals, I aim to provide a more enriching travel experience.
My mission in life is to foster a deeper understanding of the world through travel and to build connections with people from different backgrounds. I look forward to creating unforgettable memories and sharing new discoveries with all of you!

“An excellent guide!”
We booked Shusaku at the very last minute and it all worked out. He was friendly, engaging, offered us several options, and was just "fun" to be around. We were in Tokyo on a very hot day and he made sure to balance showing us around and keeping us cool as best he could. We hope to see him again and would definitely recommend him for your tour. Thank you "Shu" for taking care of us and making our time with you memorable!

“ The Best Decision We Made for Our First Day in Japan”
My husband and I booked a personalised half-day tour with Shusaku M for our first day in Japan, and it was one of the best decisions we made for our trip. From the moment we met him, Shusaku M was friendly, warm, approachable and incredibly knowledgeable. He spoke excellent English, answered every question we had with patience, and created a relaxed environment where we felt comfortable asking absolutely anything. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Rather than taking us to tourist traps, Shusaku M listened to what we wanted and introduced us to the local side of Tokyo. He gave us a wonderful introduction to the Nakano area, showed us some fantastic little places to eat, and helped us gain confidence using the train system, particularly the JR lines. He also helped us set up our Suica cards and provided great recommendations for places to visit during the rest of our stay. Most importantly, he gave us the confidence to navigate Tokyo on our own. The very next day, we were able to use the train system independently with minimal stress and successfully make our way back to our hotel! We genuinely feel lucky to have found such a kind, personable and professional guide for our first day in Japan. Shusaku M made what could have been an overwhelming experience feel easy, enjoyable and exciting. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a local guide who is knowledgeable, patient, non-judgemental and genuinely invested in helping visitors have a great experience in Japan. Thank you, Shusaku M for helping us start our Japanese adventure on such a positive note. Sue & Geoff

Japanese Gardens and Tokyo Life: Bunkyo City Customized Tour
Bunkyo City is in the heart of central Tokyo, just north of Chiyoda City where the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station are. The city is Tokyo’s typical residential and academic area where I was born, grew up, and live now. We'll move around the city with a Bunkyo City Community Bus, B-guru ( “beagle”, the mascot character of the bus), and visit Edo-Tokyo Japanese gardens and other calm and pleasant sites. You'll also catch a glimpse of Tokyo citizens’ life during the tour.

If you are looking for something different from the crowded tourist attractions in the central part of Tokyo, you will enjoy exploring the western suburbs of Tokyo. I recommend this tour not to first timers but to repeaters who have been to famous places in Tokyo. You will discover traditional spots in the beautiful environment of the suburbs.
