Hi, I'm Tokie.
I was born and grew up in Osaka, and I have lived in Osaka for 90% of my life. I like to show people around my city, not only famous sightseeing places but also local places where you can feel how real Osaka is.
I also travel a lot. I have traveled to Europe, South East Asia, North and Central America, and and so on. I always enjoy tours where I have a chance meet local people and enjoy an awesome experience. So I want to offer such tours here in Osaka !
My favorite
1. Local tours (Tenjin, Temma area is my specialized area)
2. Good food (sake as well. Local bar hopping tour is also available)
3. Cooking
4. Language and culture exchange (I can teach Japanese!)
5. Japanese calligraphy
6. Running (I have some marathon experiences.)
7. The beach (That's what I miss here in Osaka!)
Please contact me if you want to enjoy Osaka and Japan!

Motoki K.
Nice to meet you! Please call me K. I was born and raised in Tokyo.
I played soccer until high school. From college I was playing punk rock in a rock and roll band. I love the Blue Hearts and the Ramones. In Los Angeles, I visited the graves of members of the Ramones.
I started traveling abroad when I was in college, and have visited more than 50 countries so far. I have also been to Africa and the Middle East.
From 2018 to 2020, I was dispatched to Chuuk State in the Federated States of Micronesia as a JICA Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer and worked in the tourism industry. I have experience as a tour guide for American and European tourists.
I love old clothes. Most of the clothes I buy are second hand. I like expensive vintage clothes, and I also like cheap recycled clothes. When I travel abroad and visit the local second-hand clothing stores, I realize that the second-hand clothing market in Japan is of high quality. Vintage clothing from America and Europe is popular in Japan, but vintage clothing culture is one of Japan's distinctive subcultures. I would be happy if I could introduce it to everyone.

Mika S.
My interests include art, architecture, food, sake, wine, and sustainability.
In the past, I had the opportunity to visit destinations around the world. My passion for traveling and experiencing other cultures helped me recognize the beauty in my own culture, and inspired me to become a tour guide. I’m a fun, energetic, and passionate guide who’s ready to show you an unforgettable time in Japan, whatever your interests may be!
Hida is a beautiful region tucked away in the Northern Alps, and its location helped preserve Takayama’s old town constructed by local master carpenters. On your tour, I’ll give you tips on what you should look for to appreciate traditional Japanese architecture. If you’re a sake lover, Hida is the place for you because the cold climate makes it suitable for brewing quality sake. I’m a licensed Sake Sommelier, and I’d love to take you to the breweries in town and give you some recommendations. I’ve also been trained to host art tours. If you’re interested in contemporary Japanese art, I recommend visiting Kanazawa, where you can find inspirational creativity in every corner!
My goal is to help you discover the authentic Japanese way of life while feeling comfortable like a local rather than standing out like a tourist. Please let me know what kind of experience you’re looking for, and I will happily tailor a unique experience just for you.
Fun facts about me!
I was sponsored to travel around the world twice
I was a torch runner in the 1998 Nagano Olympics
I grew up in nature, eating wild plants and seeing many wild animals
Jodie C.
Hello everyone. My name is Jodie. It's very nice to meet you. I’m originally from St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada (near Niagara Falls), but I live and work in Kyoto, Japan. I’ve been in Japan (Kyoto) for about 23 years, and I teach English as a Second/Foreign Language (ESL/EFL) full-time at a couple of universities in Kyoto.
I offer 3 types of tours: bicycle tours, scooter/motorbike – 125cc tours (solo guest only), and Sake drinking tours, and I love doing them because I love riding my bicycle, driving my scooter, and walking around this amazing city (Japan’s capital from 794-1868; sometimes called The 1000-Year Capital). I love exploring and discovering more about this amazing city, and I'd love to do this together with you.
I'll take you down narrow alleys, riverside paths, show you some popular sights (and some hidden gems), and we'll learn and discover about Kyoto together as I am still learning about Kyoto (e.g., its shrines, temples, and history) myself. I will do my best to be of use to all of you.
I know that getting long lists of names and dates from Japanese history can be hard to keep up with, and possibly boring, so I’m not a translator, but a guide who will discover Kyoto with you. I’ll introduce you to some modern culture in Kyoto (and Japan), and to daily life as well.
I’m here to make your trip to Kyoto an unforgettable memory, and I look forward to meeting you and showing you around this AMAZING city. And remember: What’s the best way to see Kyoto? On 2 wheels, and, on foot!
