Yusuke is friendly, flexible and knowledgeable of the local area and its customs. Not only did he take us to the places we knew we wanted to see (Mt. Inasa and Suwa Shrine), but he also made some great recommendations (like Chinatown and the Katsushika restaurant). I highly recommend him and this tour!

I really enjoyed showing you around Nagasaki and sharing some of my favorite places with you. I’ve only recently started doing my own tours, so I still don’t have many reviews. “She moved our tour for the weather and it made the whole day”

We booked a private day trip to Mt Fuji and Hakone with Lynn, and she went out of her way for us before the day even started. Two days ahead she checked the forecast, saw that our original date would be rain and poor visibility, and suggested moving the trip one day earlier. That single message saved the day for us. She picked us up at our hotel in Ueno at 7:30 exactly as arranged, in a comfortable van, and drove us around the Fuji and Hakone area all day. She was kind, easy to talk to and very well organised, and she told us a lot about the places we visited. Clear communication before the trip, perfect timekeeping and real care for her guests. Highly recommended.

“Early start, no crowds, and a guide full of knowledge”

Akira was an excellent guide. He picked us up at our hotel at 7:00 exactly as agreed, and thanks to that early start we walked the first torii gates at Fushimi Inari and the bamboo grove in Arashiyama almost alone, before the crowds arrived. What made the day special was how much he knew. He explained the history and the meaning behind every place, answered every question in detail, and told us things we would never have found in a guidebook. At the same time the day was relaxed and very pleasant, never rushed. He was also very considerate. He planned the order of the sights himself to avoid the crowds, and it worked perfectly. My whole family enjoyed the day enormously. If you are looking for a guide in Kyoto who combines deep knowledge with genuine kindness, book Akira. Highly recommended.
