The Nichinan Coast: Aoshima, Udo, and Obi (full day by car)
This full day car tour takes in the beautiful Nichinan Coast, combining spectacular scenery, architecture, and history. We start at Aoshima Beach, known for its island shrine, botanical gardens, and sub-tropical scenery. Then we drive the wild Nichinan Coast, w/plenty of photo ops, to the mysterious Udo Jingu (shrine), precariously carved into seaside rock face. Then, on to the preserved samurai/merchant houses in the castle town of Obi, where coffee can be enjoyed in 300-year old surroundings.

All 10 statues in one tour. All your favorite ONE PIECE characters are in Kumamoto. As part of a collaboration with Eiichiro Oda, author of ONE PIECE born and raised in Kumamoto City, a total of 10 statues of the Straw Hat Pirates of ONE PIECE have been installed throughout Kumamoto Prefecture. The One Piece statues are part of a larger project to help Kumamoto recover after the 2016 earthquakes and are being built thanks to the cooperation of and extremely generous donation from Mr. Oda.

Steve is a great tour guide! This tour is very difficult to do on your own, so finding a guide like Steve was perfect for our planning. We did the statue tour on a rainy day, but we still managed to enjoy it. He explained many things about Kumamoto and the locations of each statue, making the whole experience even better. It was a great trip to Tokyo…all thanks to Lynn ! She sought all our requirements pertaining to meal, our interests of sight seeing prior to the trip. Planned well the itenary and was super punctual, fun and friendly . Our teenage daughter was super happy in her company . Lyn was very fluent with English and Japanese . It was the best decision to use her guide services.
