The Nichinan Coast: Aoshima, Udo, and Obi (full day by car)
This full day car tour takes in the beautiful Nichinan Coast, combining spectacular scenery, architecture, and history. We start at Aoshima Beach, known for its island shrine, botanical gardens, and sub-tropical scenery. Then we drive the wild Nichinan Coast, w/plenty of photo ops, to the mysterious Udo Jingu (shrine), precariously carved into seaside rock face. Then, on to the preserved samurai/merchant houses in the castle town of Obi, where coffee can be enjoyed in 300-year old surroundings.

As part of a collaboration with Eiichiro Oda, author of ONE PIECE born and raised in Kumamoto City, a total of 10 statues of the Straw Hat Pirates of ONE PIECE have been installed throughout Kumamoto Prefecture. The One Piece statues are part of a larger project to help Kumamoto recover after the 2016 earthquakes and are being built thanks to the cooperation of and extremely generous donation from Mr. Oda.

“Akita 1 day private tour”
Kenichi-san was an outstanding tour guide in Akita. He took us to the Our Lady of Akita, Lake Tazawa, Tsurunoyu Onsen (Nyuto Onsen area), and Kakunodate Samurai Town, and he made the whole day smooth, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable. He is very helpful and attentive to detail—always checking timing, weather, walking conditions, and the small practical things that make a trip stress-free. He’s also knowledgeable, explaining the background and local stories in a clear, engaging way without ever rushing us. Throughout the day he was cheerful, friendly, and easy to talk to, which created a relaxed atmosphere from start to finish. If you’re looking for someone professional, warm, and reliable in Akita, I highly recommend Kenichi-san. He’s the kind of guide who truly elevates the experience, and I would gladly book him again and recommend him to others.

“Michiko is the best! ”
As I reviewed previously, Michiko is my favorite guide ever. Please don’t hesitate booking a tour with her. She is kind, funny and smart. My husband and I loved our time with her. “Wonderful day in Tokyo”
Kota and Eri were wonderful hosts for our post-cruise day in Tokyo. The communication leading up to our tour, pickup, and during tour were great. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. We had to adapt when our luggage would not all fit comfortably in the van, and they were quick to adjust. We saw everything we’d hoped to see and had a delicious lunch at a place we would not have found on our own. Would definitely tour with Kota and Eri again!
