“An Amazing and Knowledgeable Tour Guide – Highly Recommended! ”

We had a wonderful experience with Tateo as our tour guide in Okinawa! Despite having a large group of 30 people, he was friendly, patient, and professional. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about sharing Okinawa’s history, especially during our WWII historical tour. His engaging storytelling made the experience meaningful and memorable for everyone. He is very accommodating, and his English is excellent!! We were truly amazed to learn that he taught himself English! Really impressive! Highly recommended!

“Felt like a day with a Family member”

Our day with Sho was like being part of his family. Heart of gold. In addition to the usual Atomic Bomb museum he took us to the Memorial Hall. It tore at our hearts. Upon returning home the day with Sho in Nagasaki has been mentioned as one of our top highlights in the 3 weeks of touring Japan. We utilized taxis, the street car system and walking for getting around. It was fun having lunch at a local cafe (which I think he goes to often) in a residential area. Definitely off the beaten path and not your usual tourist food establishment. This was the theme for the rest of the day (i.e. off the beaten path) when we started running around looking for wasabi and ramen products. He took us to his local shopping area and we met the woman where he buys his tofu. I strongly recommend Sho for anyone looking for "off the beaten path, " type of guide. Sho would be more than capable of showing his clients the usual tourist attractions. Originally we had planned on visiting all the known tourist spots. Sho being flexible and possessing strong knowledge of the area let us morph it into a "free for all" day, more to our liking. If it wasn't for the 300 steps up to his house we would have gone to his home. Even for our most active senior the 300 steps seemed to daunting to do, I am hoping that soon our paths will one day cross again.
