Japan Tour Reviews

Amazing day!

Morry was exceptional — well planned, humorous, a historian at heart, and incredibly interesting throughout the entire tour. We visited Tochoji Temple, Jotenji Temple, and Kushida Shrine, and Morry brought each location to life with fascinating stories and historical context. A particularly memorable moment was when Morry performed a chant at Jotenji Temple, which we found deeply moving and unforgettable. Morry was accompanied by Mai, an apprentice guide learning from a seasoned professional. Mai was warm, engaging, and helped guide us to a wonderful local lunch spot that we never would have discovered on our own. It added such an authentic touch to the day. Thank you, Morry and Mai, for a fabulous day in Fukuoka. We left with a much deeper appreciation for the city, its history, and its culture.

Thank you for the wonderful review. I'm glad you both enjoyed the old town of Hakata. Please come to Fukuoka again if you have the chance. I'd be happy to show you around. Morry

Day Trip in Jogashima

Me and hubby visited Jogashima to celebrate his birthday, and we had such a lovely day with Carrie as our guide. From the moment I contacted her on GoWithGuide, she was super responsive and always replied to my questions within a few hours. With my request, she helped arrange a wonderful teppanyaki lunch with a birthday cake for my hubby. The food was delicious, and Carrie stayed with us throughout the meal to help explain the dishes since the chef and staff only spoke Japanese. That really made the experience much more enjoyable and comfortable for us. After lunch, she brought us around Misaki Port for a relaxing stroll around the charming little harbour area. Along the way, she also shared recommendations on the local food spots and what specialties to try in the neighbourhood, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a very pleasant and memorable experience, and we’re thankful to Carrie for helping make hubby’s birthday celebration extra special.

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review I’m really happy to hear you both enjoyed your day in Jogashima and that your husband’s birthday celebration became a special memory. I also really enjoyed all our conversations and learnt a lot from you two as well! Thank you again for choosing to spend such an important occasion with me, and I hope our paths cross again somewhere in Japan (or maybe somewhere else in the world!) someday

Shuji is an extraordinary guide, do not miss out on this opportunity

Shuji is known and respected in Kyoto and his decades of experience shine through in his explanations. He led us on a beautiful downhill course beginning at Kiyomizu Temple. Each time he said "and around this corner, you'll find another world," we were truly in another world. We will always be grateful to him.

Thank you very much for the great review! Yes, there are so many wonderful things in Kyoto. We discovered amazing places just by turning the corner. It was like entering a different world! But I'm sorry, I made you walk so much when you were jet-lagged. I hope this trip will be a good memory for your family!
