Japan Tour Reviews

Local wines and historical background

Chinami provided an excellent tour of local wineries as well as background on the history of wine-making in Japan and the production process. She met us and dropped us off at the train station, and the logistics were excellent. We truely enjoyed spending the day with her. We recommend any of her tours, and the wine tour especially for wine-lovers who like to taste unusual or up and coming wines.

Thank you for the great review. I am happy that you enjoyed wines in Yamanashi. Have you drunk any bottle of wine you bought? Please tell me what your friends or family members who shared think. Now the association called Koshu of Japan goes to London to promote wines made in Japan. I hope you come to a festival in the area next time and nouveau or Koshu grapes itself. Good luck on your job and take care!

Historical Tour

Hugh was nothing short of exceptional during this tour. We had asked for a historical tour and that is exactly what we received. We have been traveling in Japan for a month visiting several regions and partaking in several tours. This tour was the best we have experienced in Japan as well as world wide. Hugh was well spoken, knowledgeable and easy to be with. He went over and beyond our expectations. Not only did he give us an exceptional tour he also made a recommendation for dinner as well as made the reservation for us. It was one of the best meals we had in Japan. He is fluent in Japan and clearly respected by the locals. It was a pleasure to spend the day with him. Thank you Hugh!

Fantastic guide

Traveling back from a ski trip we had a few days to see and experience Tokyo Akira absolutely knocked it out of the park and made our full day fun, fact filled and action packed. He was prompt, kind and thoughtful. He shared history, culture and amazing food He pointed out many nuances of Japanese culture. He planned a great itinerary and he added in additional stops for fun filled day. I would highly recommend him for anyone traveling through alone or with friends and family. A+++. Thanks again

Dear Raifie, Thank you so much for the great review. I really had a wonderful day with the jolly gangs from Colorado. I am so glad you all enjoyed my favorite things, the sashimi (not frozen one!), the roast beef of the Omi beef (which is as par with Kobe's..!), the ramen (which is still making my mouth water...), narrow alleyways etc. I hope the day was good enough to make you come back to Tokyo near future. I am looking forward to another chance to explore my loving city together. Sincerely, Akira
