“Miro Muro Heritage Tour”

When my wife and I planned our trip to Japan one thing we knew we wanted to do was to learn more about where my family roots are in Wakayama. In particular, the oceanside village of Mio Mura. We are so incredibly grateful for Hiroyuki. From the start, he went above and beyond for us. I shared my family's story with him and even before we met him in Japan he was already proactive into researching any family connections that were still in Mio Mura. He even reached out to people in the village that may still be connected to my family. He was patient with us when we missed our train to Gobo station and was super resourceful in helping us navigate Wakayama. Without him we wouldn't have learned so much about my family's village and history. He was very knowledgable and translated for us while visiting the Japanese Canadian Museum and other sites. We were even able to locate my great great grandparents burial site because of him. It's an experience that I will never forgot and was something my family will cherish for a very long time! If you are looking to trace your family roots in Mio Mura, Hiroyuki is the best guide there is! Even if you're touring Wakayama, Osaka, or Kyoto, pick Hiroyuki!!

“Moving and Informative WWII Tour”

My husband’s father fought in the Battle of Okinawa, so we were anxious to see all the places he had been and roughly follow the path taken by the Sixth Marine Division. We explained this to Harry, and he did his homework. He came up with an itinerary that was exactly what we were looking for. He came prepared with visual aids and copies of relevant information for us to take home. He was able to answer all our questions and had clearly done a lot of research. Harry is the nicest guy. He is enthusiastic, thoughtful and fun to be with. We had a wonderful two days with him.

It was a great honor for me to spend those two days with you, learning together about the Battle of Okinawa. Since the information commonly shared in Japan and the United States about the battle can sometimes be quite different, I felt it was a wonderful opportunity for all of us to learn from each other’s perspectives. In particular, I am very grateful to Bob-san for sharing many insights from the perspective of American soldiers—things that are rarely written in books available in Japan. For example, I had always thought the Japanese Nambu gun was simply an outdated weapon, so I was surprised to learn from him that its rapid-fire capability actually made it something many American soldiers feared. “Nagasaki city ”

That was a lovely walking tour around the best sights in the city. Armando allowed me preference for one or other thing and spend more time on things I wanted. That was a private tour. Armando has a lot of history to share and I learned things I did not know. He has also the insight of Nagasaki as he is a local. Delicious food had Wagyu and Japanese red wine Merlot. Great coffee and cakes. Thank you very much Armando keep up the good work.
