Aya M.
Hi, I’m Aya! A local guide from Osaka, born and raised in a traditional Japanese farmhouse. My family has been growing Mitsuba(japanese traditional vegetable)and seasonal vegetables for generations, and I love sharing the authentic countryside lifestyle with guests from around the world. After studying and working in Australia, I realized how deeply travelers value real connection with local people. That inspired me to create experiences where visitors can feel everyday Japan — not just observe it. In my tours, I introduce guests to the heart of Japanese culture: • Hands-on farm experiences at my family’s fields • Calligraphy in our traditional Japanese home • Tea time on the engawa, surrounded by nature One of the things I cherish most is omotenashi —Japan’s unique spirit of hospitality that values sincerity, care, and putting others before oneself. Through my experiences, I hope to share this quiet richness of Japanese life: the warmth, the thoughtfulness, and the deep sense of connection that locals naturally offer. My style is warm, welcoming, and relaxed. I guide at your pace, answer any questions, and make sure you feel comfortable — like visiting a friend’s home in the countryside. If you’re looking for genuine culture, meaningful moments, and a true local connection, I’d be honored to welcome you. Feel free to message me anytime.

Fukuyo K.
Hi, I’m Fukuyo—call me Francis! I’m originally from Kagoshima, but after spending time living in different places around Japan and abroad, I came back home three years ago. Over the years, I’ve been lucky to meet so many amazing people and learn about their history, culture, and traditions. One thing that’s really stayed with me is how important it is to connect with people—whether through chatting, sharing a meal, or simply exploring a place together—to truly understand it. Since moving back to Kagoshima, my connection to the culture and traditions here has only grown. I’m especially fascinated by Kagoshima’s beautiful traditional handicrafts. Now, I blend my deep love for this place with my belief that real connections are key to experiencing its heart. I offer tours that are authentic, fun, and all about connecting with the locals. My focus is on helping visitors learn about the local culture by interacting with the people here. I truly believe the best way to experience Kagoshima is through the people you meet, and I can’t wait to share this amazing place with you!

My interests include art, architecture, food, sake, wine, and sustainability. In the past, I had the opportunity to visit destinations around the world. My passion for traveling and experiencing other cultures helped me recognize the beauty in my own culture, and inspired me to become a tour guide. I’m a fun, energetic, and passionate guide who’s ready to show you an unforgettable time in Japan, whatever your interests may be! Hida is a beautiful region tucked away in the Northern Alps, and its location helped preserve Takayama’s old town constructed by local master carpenters. On your tour, I’ll give you tips on what you should look for to appreciate traditional Japanese architecture. If you’re a sake lover, Hida is the place for you because the cold climate makes it suitable for brewing quality sake. I’m a licensed Sake Sommelier, and I’d love to take you to the breweries in town and give you some recommendations. I’ve also been trained to host art tours. If you’re interested in contemporary Japanese art, I recommend visiting Kanazawa, where you can find inspirational creativity in every corner! My goal is to help you discover the authentic Japanese way of life while feeling comfortable like a local rather than standing out like a tourist. Please let me know what kind of experience you’re looking for, and I will happily tailor a unique experience just for you. Fun facts about me! I was sponsored to travel around the world twice I was a torch runner in the 1998 Nagano Olympics I grew up in nature, eating wild plants and seeing many wild animals

Hi, I'm Takao. I like walking with my friends in the mountains, along rivers and beaches, and visiting historical places and museums. Usually, after enjoying these places, we take a dip in hot springs and drink beer. As a guide, however, I'll take up places easy to walk around. I assume not many people from abroad are prepared for sweating activities. If you like, though, I can modify my plan, connecting with a short hiking, hot bath and a drinking place.

I was born and raised in Tokyo. I have had opportunities to communicate with foreign people since I was a junior high school student, because I joined American summer camp held in Japan. Many children gathered from all over the world, and we enjoyed various activities in English. Through this camp , I found I love to communicate with foreign people. After graduating from the university, I worked for apparel brand company as a buyer, researching the latest trend, shops and culture in Tokyo. So I know how attractive this area is! I have mainly organized customized tours of Tokyo, so can tailor the tour according your preferences. I look forward to meeting you!

Enjoy not only Guided tour but also Professional photo shoot in Kyoto! "Hi, my name is Koichi. I am a licensed tour guide specializing in Kyoto. I can take memorable picture of you by using my own authentic camera and lens. Photo shoot experience is included in guide fee. I have a great love for Kyoto City, from its major tourist attractions to some of its lesser known, tranquil and peaceful sites. I would be glad to conduct the tour according to your interests and share with you my knowledge of the city's rich history as well as its cultural and seasonal events. Since both my high school and university days were located in Kyoto, I know not only all the city’s shrines and temples but also great local restaurants that serve traditional Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price. As an added bonus, I am an experienced, award winning photographer and I would be happy to take photos of you during the tour with my DSLR camera and then email them to you after the tour. Additionally, I love motorcycle touring as my hobby and I enjoy taking pictures of Kyoto’s beautiful landscape. Therefore, talking about and showing off Kyoto’s scenery with my guests is one of my pleasures as well as explaining the traditional Kyoto culture. My native city of Otsu is famous for Lake Biwa which is located just 10 minutes train ride from Kyoto station. It is not only an ideal location for the easy access to the ancient capital city but also for having an amazing visitor’s viewing location. Therefore, whether you are wishing to explore Kyoto’s traditional heritage, sample the fantastic food that Kyoto offers or take a trip off the beaten path, I am the guide for you!

Hi there, I'm Yuki. Originally from Tokyo, moved to Goto islands , Nagasaki in 2019. I'm a christian (protestant), and that brought me to live here, the island with the history of Japanese hidden christians. I'm passionate with meeting new people from different backgrounds, which is why I have multiple types of businesses(a mucician, a chef, a spearfisher, an interpreter, and a guide). I'm probably a typical islander who is easygoing, relaxing, and enjoy doing multiple things based on the random things happening in this island. Before we settled down here, my wife and I have traveled over 30 countries for 2 years with a crowdfunded project. I'm also a learner of multiple languages, Italian (conversational), Spanish and Korean(novice). I try to be as flexible as possible, based on guests' requests. I could guide other than Goto, but in that case I would have to ask guests to cover my transportations fee(as you may not know, from/to Goto islands-Nagasaki city, it takes 1-3 hours by ferry or airplane.) Please feel free to message me! I'm hoping your trip to be unforgettable.

Hello, I'm Kouhei, a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter. I'm originally from Tokyo, but since I love outdoor activities and wanted to live in a place surrounded by abundant nature, I moved to here in Nagano in 2015. I have traveled a lot of places in Japan and eventually decided to live in Nagano. Nagano prefecture is sometimes described as "a roof of Japan" since most of its part are covered with high mountain range. Because of that, the area gets lots of snow every winter. It makes the place's nature and culture different from other areas in Japan. I am also a Mountain Trekking guide and a Cycling Guide as well as English translator guide.. I want to guide you to super beautiful yet lesser known places! I am very flexible, so please let me know your requests for the guided tour. Let's explore the "Hidden Gem" of Japan together :) (for example) Walking Tour : Matsumoto Castle, Zenkoji Temple, Togakushi Shrine, Obuse Town, etc Mountain Hiking: Beginners to Intermediates (Northern Alps, Yatsugatake, etc) Cycling Tours : Beginners to Intermediates (North Nagano Area), E Bikes tour available. Other Specials :Snow Monkey, Picking Wild Vegetables and Cooking Tempura together, Night Cherry Blossom Viewing, Visiting Sake Winery, Snow Shoeing in National Park, etc

"Chuuganabira" or "Hello" as we say here in Shuri! I'm Sara. My mother is Japanese from Nagasaki and my father is American from Pennsylvania. I spent my formative years between Japan and the U.S. giving me a naturally bicultural outlook and global sensibility. I am a hospitality professional with over 35 years of experience in Japan’s international hotel and tourism industries having held senior positions with world-renowned hotels. I've welcomed distinguished guests - from artists and actors and political leaders and celebrity chefs. I have also worked as a simultaneous interpreter for major Japanese organizations supporting large scale cultural and international events. I relocated from Tokyo to Naha in 2003 because I totally fell in love with this beautiful port city during my travels - the warm friendly people, delicious local food, rich history and culture and most of all the breathtaking turquoise ocean and magnificent blue sky. My passion is making people happy through "omotenashi" - the Japanese art of polite, thoughtful and respectful hospitality. I specialize in Shuri Castle tours and have insider access to Shuri Castle through my onsite research, membership in the Shuri Castle Friendship Association and a close relationship with both the castle's staff and the Okinawa Churashima Foundation which operates the castle. I also have deep ties with the descendants of the Sho royal family, offering rare insights into the history and culture of the Ryukyu Kingdom. I am looking forward to introducing you to the royal, majestic and fascinating world of Shuri!

Hello! My name is Koichi, a licensed guide in Niigata City. I am a retired bank manager. I had worked in the New York office for three years. During my stay in the U.S., I traveled a lot with my family and enjoyed the great nature, historical sites and nice local cuisines. This time, I want you to enjoy Japanese culture and cuisines including our wonderful rice and sake. It is my great pleasure to welcome you in my hometown! Niigata has been developed as a port city at the mouth of big river. The Niigata port has been active since the 17th century, the samurai era. So, we have a lot of sightseeing sites which represent the flourishment of the town in those days. You can enjoy a wealthy merchant’s house and garden, a landlord’s mansion or a model of wooden boat which sailed all over Japan at that time. Along with those historical sites, the people’s markets are very enjoyable. Farmers and fishermen sell their fresh products at the portable tents along the street. Please stroll the area and find some very local fish and veggies. I am waiting for your visit to Niigata!
