I’m a proud madrileña with Swiss Heritage from my father. He came to Madrid in the sixties and fell in love with it. I have also lived in other European countries like Switzerland, Germany and France. Although I have travelled a lot, my favourite city has always been Madrid and its secret squares, sunny terraces, centenary shops, taverns and great city life. Come with me and discover the history and legends of Madrid, its Muslim origins, the charming streets and neighbourhoods, three of the best art museums in the world, the unique shops, the best tapas and especially the Spanish way of life. We can also have a look over the roofs of Madrid from special viewpoints and taste the authentic gastronomy and wines in town. In the cities around Madrid you will see a different place. Much smaller, more quiet and with an amazing and still touchable history. Cities that ruled the region and Spain thousand years ago, when Madrid did not even exist. Everytime I happen to walk in Segovia I feel like a tourist, yet with the knowledge of history of every corner of the city. It's easy to fall in love with Segovia being a World Heritage Site, having one of the most impressive Roman Aqueducts, a generous number of Romanesque churches, the last Gothic-style Spanish Cathedral and the Alcázar and much much more to discover. As soon as Francisco M. greeted us under the towering aqueduct in the main square of Segovia, we knew he had the right energy to guide is through the highlights and significant historical anecdotes of the City. our family had a private tour with Francisco and we really enjoyed ist a lot. Francisco made it a wonderful experience for us. “BEST guide in Segovia”
Spend an amazing morning in Segovia with Francisco. I was visiting Segovia with my wife and teenage son. We were late arriving to Segovia by 45 mins due to some delays in Madrid, Francisco was so understanding and was so gracious to add in extra time pass the agreed upon end time. He is so warm and welcoming and extremely accommodating to our needs. A huge history buff (which I really enjoyed) and a real insightful "local" who has pretty much lived in the area his whole life. Conducted the tour in a very comfortable pace and regularly check in with us. If you are planning for a day trip or a few days stay in Segovia and surrounding area I definitely recommend that you reach out to Francisco. He is simply the BEST!!!!
