“An amazing day in Tokyo with Akira!”
We had an amazing time exploring Tokyo with Akira on Wed 28th May 2025. Instead of hitting the major sites, we decided to go with Akira's recommendation of visiting some local areas around Tokyo, and experience day-to-day life. We rode a street car, visited the stunning Kishimojin Temple (with the most beautiful ginko trees and adorable sweet store) and had a delicious lunch at a restaurant with the locals. We got to see and do so much, and Akira was so helpful in answering all our questions, and engaging our sons and feeding their curiosity. While we had a packed day, Akira picked the right moments and places to take rest, including making origami in a lovely setting where we sat on tatami mats, and enjoyed a coffee in Cat St, Harajuku. Akira is a fab photographer too! Capturing not only candid shots of our time together in Tokyo, but the essence of the day. We highly recommend Akira as an amazing guide to Tokyo, and we are forever grateful for the time we got to spend exploring your beautiful city with you! Cheers from South Australia, Tessa, David, Calvin & Frank Ewens :)

Dear Tessa, Thank you so much or the great review. After few minutes talks and realizing you had spend few days in Japan already before arrival of Tokyo, I thought it would be a great idea to visit more local neighborhoods rather than visiting major sights, which I assume was it would be easy for you to do so. And reading your review and remembering how you, David, Calvin, and Frank were during the tour, I am happy about the change of route worked well and you all had a great time. Thank you so much for letting me be a part of memorable "Ewen's Japan Trip". It was so nice to be in a happy family vibes created by you and your beautiful family. I am looking forward to another chance to explore my loving city together. Sincerely, Akira

“Personalized Tokyo Journey on Mai 21, 2025”
We had a very pleasant experience of spending „A Perfect Day“ with a lot of fun with Akira! He gave us an exciting opportunity of exploring Tokyo, authentic and truthful, explaining to us many details about local customs, cultural and religious traditions and historical aspects. We really enjoyed having Akira shoving us some of the highlights of Japanese capital and would be glad visiting Tokyo soon again. We can only recommend booking a guided tour with Akira! “Day 2 of 2. Perfect Tour!!”
This was the second day of our two-day tour with Akira, and just like the first, it was an amazing experience. We started at the same meeting point as before, but this time we explored the more modern side of Tokyo. Our first stop was the famous Tsukiji Outer Market. Akira guided us through the busy stalls, where we tasted incredibly tender beef and freshly caught tuna—some of the best seafood we've ever had! We also sampled different types of sake, each with its own unique flavor. The market offered a great mix of traditional snacks and souvenirs, making it a fun and lively start to the day. Next, Akira took us to a ramen shop he described as one of the benchmarks for ramen in Tokyo. And he was absolutely right—the ramen was rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. It was clear this was a spot loved by locals, and we were glad to have experienced it. We then headed to Tokyo’s fashion district, where we wandered through stylish streets filled with unique shops and interesting trends. It gave us a good sense of Tokyo’s modern, creative energy. After exploring the fashion scene, we stopped at another great coffee shop. Just like the day before, the coffee was excellent—smooth, rich, and perfectly brewed. It was a nice break before our final stop. To end the day, Akira brought us to Shibuya to see the world-famous crossing. Standing there among the crowds was a surreal moment and a great way to wrap up our Tokyo experience. Once again, Akira was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to answer our questions. His passion for his city shines through in every stop. We would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Tokyo!

Dear Yannik, I am so glad that your Day 2 was as good as Day 1. I believe you could experienced diversity of this city through the tours for both days. Yes, Day 2 was filled with busy crowds, noise, and vibrance, totally opposite from previous tour. The tuna you had was not frozen, caught few hours ago, and taste was so good as you experienced. Different types of sake we had were from different region, using different process to made and taste were slightly different. It was fun for me to observe that each one of you have different remarks on which one was the favorite one among the three. The ramen we had including no chemicals or no additives but 100% natural ingredients such as good fish stocks and that is the reason why the ramen taste so good, and gave you good feeling (no feeling of heavy stomach) after you eaten. The fashion district that we wondered about might gave you the idea of what it is like to be a one of Tokyo locals at your age. I would like to thank you for your remarks on the crossing, "surreal", giving me an idea of what the crossing can be seen from those people from outside Japan. At the very end of 2 days tour gave me a mixed feeling (in a good way) of happy and sad. Sad part is that I had to say good bye to jolly, kind, and generous young folks from Germany. Happy part is that I could sense that we are individually different but we are very similar in some part, such as respect of orders and local rules, but most of all, entire two days of tours were filled with fun exchange and happy laughter. Thank you so much again for having me for two days. I am looking forward to another chance to explore my loving city together. Sincerely, Akira
