About Tour Guide Ritsuko K.

Hi, I'm Ritsuko, a national licensed tour guide. I was born and raised in Tokyo.

As Tokyo is a city of many faces, I hope you will discover your hidden gems during the tour.

I love to wander around the shops and places downtown and one of my hobbies is to find daily-use products made in Japan. So I can select unique souvenirs for you within your budget!

I am football-mad and have been to every FIFA World Cup except one tournament since 1998.

I also love to go island hopping in Asia. That's why I have been to over 30 countries.

Wherever I went, people were so kind to me. So, it's my turn.

I will do my best to make your tour a memorable one!

Hope to hear from you soon.

Important

I am available 7 days a week, but if you prefer popular tourist destinations, please select weekdays. Additionally, my tours have a minimum duration of 5 hours. I also specialize in private tours for small groups (FIT), with a max of 5 people.

Fun day exploring Tokyo

This was our first day of our first time visiting Japan and it was a fantastic way to start our trip. Ritsuko is a fantastic guide and a wonderful person. We visited a lot of the major tourist spots and Ritsuko gave us a clear understanding of the history and significance behind the sits we visited. Before arriving in Tokyo we were an apprehensive about the train system but thanks to Ritsuko we were able to navigate it successfully without her the following day. Our tour started at 9sm , finished at 4pm with us having achieved much more than we would have achieved on our own. I highly recommend getting a guide for your first day if you haven’t visited Japan before and I highly recommend Ritsuko.

Hi Tony and Kristen, Thank you so much for your warm review. I also had a great time with you. In addition to the highlights, it was especially fun to explore Kappabashi Kitchen Street with cooking lovers like you and to enjoy miso ramen together! I’m very happy to hear that our day together helped you feel more comfortable getting around Tokyo on your own. I hope the rest of your time in Japan, including Kanazawa, is just as enjoyable and full of good discoveries and delicious food. And when you get back home, please enjoy dashimaki tamago and fish with your new tools!

A wonderful tour made even more special thanks to an amazing guide.

Ritsuko was very knowledgeable and helped make our tour a memorable one. Not only did she plan out a great route to help us find all the Chiikawa Merchandise we wanted, she was also super proactive in helping us look for less common Chiikawa items too. She guided us through the shopping districts, the shrines, and the high vantage points. It was a wonderful blend of shopping, history, and getting familiar with the area. We would 100% book with Ritsuko again for our next visit!

Hi イーくん、サラちゃん、 Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for sharing the lovely photo. I was very happy to be part of such a special day for you two. I’m sure that from now on, whenever I see Chiikawa, I’ll think of you both! I hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Tokyo & Kyoto, including Chiikawa Park and the special cheering screening of the movie. Please keep up the “大人買い(otonagai)” and continue building an even bigger Chiikawa collection back home! And if there is ever a Chiikawa movie season 2 — or simply another reason to visit — I hope you’ll come back to Tokyo again! また来てね!
