Hi, I'm Ritsuko, a national licensed tour guide. I was born and raised in Tokyo.
As Tokyo is a city of many faces, I hope you will discover your hidden gems during the tour.
I love to wander around the shops and places downtown and one of my hobbies is to find daily-use products made in Japan. So I can select unique souvenirs for you within your budget!
I am football-mad and have been to every FIFA World Cup except one tournament since 1998.
I also love to go island hopping in Asia. That's why I have been to over 30 countries.
Wherever I went, people were so kind to me. So, it's my turn.
I will do my best to make your tour a memorable one!
Hope to hear from you soon.
I am available 7 days a week, but if you prefer popular tourist destinations, please select weekdays. Additionally, my tours have a minimum duration of 5 hours.
All tours can be customized for you. Send me a message with your requests!

“3 days with Ritsuko K.”
We could not be more pleased with a guide. Ritsuko crested a 3 day tour of Tokyo for us. We really felt like we saw Tokyo. Riding the subway and trains was a fun cultural experience. She found us local restaurants with incredible food at outstanding prices. When we mentioned a couple of things we wanted to do casually, she fit them in. Our search for souvenirs was.more successful with her help. She is a wonderful guide and sweet person. Highest recommendation.

Hi Bill and Virginia, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I am truly delighted to have been part of your special trip to Japan — what a great way to celebrate an important milestone year together. I was supposed to be the one taking many great photos for your 50th anniversary, yet you even took some lovely pictures of me — thank you for that! You were both so open-minded and eager to experience new things, and that energy inspired me to share Tokyo, my hometown, with even greater depth. I hope the rest of your time in Japan continues to be full of joy and memorable experiences. And if I manage to get World Cup tickets, I’ll be sure to let you know! Until then, all the best.

“Lovely day out of Tokyo”
After the hustle of Toyko we decided a day in a small town was warranted. Ritsuko was wonderful, very accommodating and easy company. We saw Temples and Shrines, but also the beach and some fab craft shops...Thank you!

Hi Lita! Thank you so much for your positive review. Even though it was unusually hot for late September, I’m glad you enjoyed the day trip to Kamakura and especially the modern version of Yosegi crafts. I hope the rest of your journey in Japan brings you many more wonderful memories. All the best!

“Great Day in Tokyo”
We had an excellent day in Tokyo with Ritsuko. Her pacing was very good, moving efficiently but allowing us time to do some souvenir shopping in the Tsukiji market and other places along the way. She helped customize a tour to our specifications, including Kappabashi Street (Kitchenware) and Akihabara (Electronics). Her knowledge of Tokyo, the temples and shrines was excellent, as was her English. We also stopped at a great place for lunch. She had recommended getting the Suica App before meeting her and that was so helpful. Choose the Welcome Suica App which is in English and allows you onto the metro and busses with a tap of your phone. It also worked in Kyoto and can also be used in convenience stores. You will enjoy having Ritsuko as a guide. She made us feel welcome and informed in Tokyo.

Dear Alison and Cliff, Thank you so much for your kind review. Even though our two-day tour was shortened to just one day because of my situation, I’m truly grateful that you still enjoyed the experience and shared such warm feedback. I’m also glad to hear that using the Suica app made your travels in Kyoto smooth and enjoyable —that’s wonderful! Tokyo has so many more places I’d love to introduce you to, so I hope you’ll come back again someday, maybe in a different season, to enjoy another side of the city. Until then, all the best.
