“Exceptional tour through busy Tokyo”

I was grateful that Ritsuko worked with me to take her standard first time tour and tailor it to my interests. We met over breakfast and she quickly made us feel comfortable. Walking through Asakusa, she narrated our surroundings and pointed out shops and areas of interests. We really enjoyed seeing and learning about Tokyo’s past when we walked through Ueno Park. Walking through the Yanaka area allowed us to see a slower side of Tokyo (despite it being Golden Week). While this wasn’t part of her regular tour, we appreciated the break at Cafe Reissue where we got some custom designed 3D foam lattes. Ritsuko is a good listener and uses what we say to point out any interesting things that we would have overlooked if we were by ourselves. During the tour, we peppered her with questions and that was extremely helpful for the following days we were on our own. We strongly recommend Ritsuko as your guide through Tokyo!

Hi Bryan, thank you very much for your thoughtful review. Considering it was Golden Week, we were actually quite lucky that both the breakfast at Pelican Cafe and the latte art at Cafe Reissue had relatively short waits. I also think one reason the tour worked so well is that your interests and tastes were quite similar to mine, so I’m very happy the places and information I shared were useful for you. After the tour, I’m sure you enjoyed some good shopping at Mega Don Quijote and Kappabashi, and probably added even more cat goods to your collection. I also hope you had a chance to remember and use some Japanese phrases along the way. いつかまた東京に戻ってきてくださいね！

“We saw amazing things ”

Ritsuko took us to small neighborhoods and we saw really interesting things. She helped us on the subway and explained a lot about Japanese life, culture and history. She was just the right person for us and we really liked her willingness to adjust quickly.

“First timers in Japan ”

We had a very good day with Ritsuko. She was friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and knew her way around the subway system like a pro. She was very patient when we went shopping. She shared with us about the Japanese history and culture We also had a quick change that she was very adaptable too and we still got in everything we wanted to see and do. I would highly recommend Ritsuko. This was our first time in Japan.

HI Cheryl & Joe, Thank you so much for your lovely review! I’m also very grateful that, despite still feeling some jet lag, you walked with me so much. Thanks to that, we were able to visit Senso-ji Temple, Asakusa Shrine, Kappabashi, and the Imperial Palace East Garden together. I also really enjoyed hearing your wonderful coincidence story at Tokyo Dome — moments like that make our tour even more memorable.
