“The greatest guide we can ask for!”
It was my first time visiting Tokyo with my fiancé. I booked Akira for a two day personalized tour of the city I could not thank Akira enough for a amazing two days of him showing some of Tokyo’s best places local neighborhoods and so beautiful temples and shrines. I could not forget to mention the amazing food spots he showed us from fresh tuna at the Tsukiji fish market to even my favorite the wagyu beef. His so knowledgeable of Tokyo tells you the history of the sites his guiding through he makes your tour feel so relax and easy to take in all the beauty Tokyo has to offer. If your thinking of booking a guide don’t look anywhere else Akira is the man he will go above and beyond to make your time in Tokyo the best I highly recommend him and I hope to see him again when I go back to visit japan in the near future. Thanks Akira you are the best.

Dear Moses, Thank you so much for the great review. Thank you so much for the wonderful time guiding people who have beautiful spirit like you and Viv. I am so glad that I could be a part of your memorable Japan trip. One of the best part of being guide is to get to know and learn from people from all over the world. I feel that way especially when I found something in common between me and my clients even though we have different cultural backgrounds. Your behavior reminds me that being humble, paying respect to people, being thoughtful, being good observer, is universal virtue. You are such a sweet man and I could see why you and Viv have been together for many years. I am so sure that you two will make a happy family. Thank you so much again for having me for two days. It was my pleasure to show you my favorite things in Tokyo, good foods, good people, and neighborhoods with local Tokyo vibes. I am looking forward to another chance to explore my loving city together. Sincerely, Akira

“Fantastic guide ”
Traveling back from a ski trip we had a few days to see and experience Tokyo Akira absolutely knocked it out of the park and made our full day fun, fact filled and action packed. He was prompt, kind and thoughtful. He shared history, culture and amazing food He pointed out many nuances of Japanese culture. He planned a great itinerary and he added in additional stops for fun filled day. I would highly recommend him for anyone traveling through alone or with friends and family. A+++. Thanks again

Dear Raifie, Thank you so much for the great review. I really had a wonderful day with the jolly gangs from Colorado. I am so glad you all enjoyed my favorite things, the sashimi (not frozen one!), the roast beef of the Omi beef (which is as par with Kobe's..!), the ramen (which is still making my mouth water...), narrow alleyways etc. I hope the day was good enough to make you come back to Tokyo near future. I am looking forward to another chance to explore my loving city together. Sincerely, Akira

“An outstanding and insightful Tokyo experience!”
My two adult sons and I toured Tokyo for two days with Akira and it was the highlight of our week-long trip. Instead of focusing on the usual tourist sights, I had asked Akira to take us to some of his favorite areas of the city. He took us through everyday neighborhoods where we could see how people actually live, commute, shop, eat, and spend their time. It was fascinating and gave us a much deeper understanding of Tokyo than we ever could have gotten from guidebooks or just checking off major landmarks. Akira was wonderful to talk with — very knowledgeable, easygoing, and happy to answer any questions we had. He explained things in a thoughtful, engaging way. What really stood out was hearing about his own life and day-to-day experiences in Tokyo. We learned so much about Japanese culture, social norms, and everyday routines just by walking and talking. If you’re curious about what life in Tokyo is really like and want a deeper, more meaningful experience, I highly recommend Akira. The two days we spent with him were informative, engaging, and enjoyable from start to finish!

Thank you so much for the great review. Since we started exchanging messages online, I had a feeling that you found the right guy, and I am so glad that my intuition was correct. It is always my pleasure to be a guide for those who wish to see Tokyo through the eyes of locals. I have always believed that the city is not a great spot for everyone, and it is not as wonderful as many guidebooks, influencers, and so-called travel advisors say. There are many so-called "unwritten rules" (which I honestly don't know if they can be categorized as “rules”)that you'd be better off following, just like many locals do. For those who think they are entitled to behave the same way everywhere they go, Japan could be one of the worst places for them to enjoy their holidays. However, if they understand that following these rules is a necessary process to truly know what Tokyo (and its people and culture) is, I believe they will love this city, just as you and your wonderful two sons did. The places we visited are all my favorites (some of them I have loved since I was a teenager), and I am so glad you enjoyed them. Thank you for spending two days with me. I thoroughly enjoyed guiding you and exchanging stories. I look forward to another opportunity to explore my beloved city together. Sincerely, Akira

Ayami M.

Hi, my name is Tak. I have seen travelers. And, I found they got tired of typical sightseeing spots, like crowded temples and shrines. There must be spots fit to your feeling and interests, more in Japan. Then, I’d like to propose. Why don’t you start unique and original tour, only your hearts bring to yourselves? . I had guided Pokemon tour Ghost story tour Inari Shrines tour Live house tour Bento (lunchbox) tour Textile tour Papermaking tour I’ll search the site you want to see and create your unique itinerary. First, could you give your message about things you want to do and see in Japan? Let’s make great time you can’t never forget. Thank you so much. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------. I live in SHITAMACHI, Tokyo, or old residential town near ASAKUSA and UENO. My hobby is strolling and I walk about this area almost every day. I know even the smallest path, big and small museums, workshops of artisans, an impressive view of gigantic tree, a beer bar in an impressive old house, unique souvenir shops, cats living in Yanaka and many, many other attractive spots in this area. You can expect a day that nobody read in guide books. So! I hope you name me as the navigator of your fantastic memory-making-tour!!!! I’m 61-year-old and I still love rock’n roll music. If you want to enjoy live music in Tokyo, I can also arrange the location and occasion according to your mood and boom.

I’m so excited to have a chance to show you around my favorite spots in Kanagawa prefecture. I was born in Kanagawa. I spent my whole school life, including university, here in Kanagawa. I worked as a high school English teacher here for more than 40 years. I love Kanagawa so much. We have many interesting tourist spots, like Hakone, Kamakura, Enoshima and Yokohama. I got my tour guide license in English in 2009. I am still an English teacher. To give an interesting and impressive lesson to young high school students, I’ve learnt and gathered many kinds of information. I also have a license to teach social studies, so I have a wide range of knowledge about Japanese culture and history. I’m sure to provide you an interesting tour.
