“Unforgettable TOKYO”
Interesting tour with Kahoko. She tells you the history of the area and even shows you pictures of how it looked in the 50’s. We learned a lot about Japan, its people and its culture.

Thank you very much for the kind review! I believe you completed your daughter's perfect itinerary. Probably, you had a great time place to place. I had a very good time with you. It was a pleasure to learn so many things from you as you have lots of experiences and knowledge. It must have been tough days on the tours because we walked a lot. I am sorry for that. I hope you and your family's good luck and happiness. I wish you a merry holiday season as well. Thank you again and take care!

“Unforgettable experience”
Kahoko was an excellent guide from the moment she arrived at our hotel. Meeting us there took a lot of the stress out of our first morning in Tokyo, and she immediately helped us feel comfortable. She showed us how to use the JR system in a way that actually made sense, and we felt confident navigating on our own afterward. She shared a lot of small cultural details and practical tips throughout the day, and those will genuinely be useful during the rest of our trip. At the shrine, she explained everything clearly and made the experience feel meaningful rather than rushed. She connected easily with our family, kept the pace relaxed, and always checked in to make sure we were good with the plan. Her English was clear and easy to follow, so communication was never an issue. Overall, the day went smoothly because of her. It was informative, comfortable, and a great introduction to Tokyo. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a guide!

“Kahoko is a wonderful guide with exceptional kindess”
I accidentally booked the wrong date for my parents’ Tokyo tour, but Kahoko went above and beyond — she kindly rearranged her schedule and came back the next day to give my parents the full experience. We were so grateful for her flexibility, patience, and professionalism. My parents said the tour was fantastic — Kahoko was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure they were comfortable the whole time. She helped them get their bearings on their first day in Tokyo and even helped them purchase online tickets that were only available for Japanese credit card holders. Thank you so much for your kindness and understanding. Highly recommend Kahoko to anyone visiting Tokyo!

Hello. I'm Akira.S. I've just finished working as a mentor for new young teachers of public junior high schools after long time career as a teacher. I’m so interested in guiding popular sightseeing spots and also hidden areas in and around Tokyo to you. I love this job because I have a lot of chances to meet nice people from various countries. I'm really looking forward to meeting persons interested in Japanese culture and history like YOU. I really hope you touch Japanese cultures, including Japanese cuisines. I’m coming up with a tour plan based on your interest.

Grant A.
Hello! My name is Grant, and I’ve spent over a decade living and exploring Japan. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, I first came to Japan as a high school exchange student in Inuyama, a historic castle town in Aichi. My love for Japan began early—sparked by childhood games like Pokémon that were released in Japanese before English. That early curiosity grew into a lifelong passion for Japanese language, culture, and history. I hold an N2 on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, a degree in Asian Studies from a Tokyo university, and I graduated from the Japan Visual Media Translation Academy. I’ve visited all 47 prefectures and explored a wide range of historical sites, shrines, and castles throughout the country. My background in Japanese history helps me provide context that brings depth and meaning to the places we visit—whether it's understanding a centuries-old temple in Kyoto, the story behind a castle ruin, or uncovering the historical layers of a Tokyo neighborhood. If you’re planning to explore Tokyo, here are some tour options to consider: One day in Tokyo? The Ginza Line Tour offers a great introduction to the city’s highlights. Two days? Pair the East Tokyo Tour and West Tokyo Tour to get a well-rounded experience. Interested in anime? The Anime Tour is flexible and can be tailored to match your specific interests. For those looking to go beyond the city, I also offer day trips to Nikko, Kamakura, and other nearby destinations. While most guests book Tokyo-based tours, I also guide in other regions—especially Kyoto, where I’ve visited every World Heritage Site. I regularly lead tours in Osaka, Nara, Nagoya, Hikone, and other locations easily reached by rail. Multi-day and custom tours are available on request. Full-Day Tour: 40,000 yen (8 hours) Full-Day Tour Outside of Tokyo: 40,000 yen + transportation Feel free to get in touch to plan a tour that fits your interests and travel plans.

Chiaki K.
Welcome to Japan! My name is Chiaki. I’m a government licensed guide interpreter, a wife and mother of two grown-up children. I’ve been living in Tokyo for 30 years so I know the area well. If you don’t want to miss popular “must see” places, wish to eat a variety of Japanese popular and delicious food, have particular interest in Japanese theatrical arts, architectures, gardens, tea ceremony and “kawaii” characters, or are tired of tourist spots and like to see the real life of people in Japan, I can help you. My goal is to help you to make your stay in Japan as memorable and fulfilling as possible. If I can serve you to make your special trip more special, it will be my pleasure.
