About Tour Guide Agustina F.
Hi! My name is Agustina. I’m originally from Argentina, and I’ve been living in Japan for about seven years.
I have been working as a tour guide in Tokyo for almost two years, especially in the Asakusa area. During this time, I have guided over 300 walking tours for international visitors, so guiding in Asakusa is something I already do regularly and truly enjoy.
In my tours, I like to explain Japanese culture in a clear, friendly, and easy-to-understand way. I focus not only on the history of the places we visit, but also on the meaning behind temples, shrines, traditions, local customs, and everyday life in Japan.
I guide in English and Spanish, and I enjoy creating a relaxed experience where guests feel comfortable asking questions. Since my tours are private, I can adapt the pace and explanations to your interests.
Whether it is your first time in Tokyo or your first visit to Asakusa, I’ll do my best to make the experience comfortable, interesting, and fun.
Important
My calendar usually shows around three available days per week, but I may be flexible from Monday to Saturday depending on my guiding schedule. If your preferred date or time is not available, please feel free to send me a message.
For Asakusa, I highly recommend starting around 8:00–8:30 AM, when Senso-ji Temple is usually less crowded and more peaceful. Later morning times, such as 10:00 or 10:30 AM, may also be possible depending on the date. Afternoon tours are usually available from 4:00 PM.

“A must take tour with Augistina!The best experience in Asakusa!”
If you want to learn into details about the Japanese traditions , this cultural walk with Augustina is your 2 hours in Asakusa Senso ji area. She is amazing. I can’t emphasise more. Knowledgeable, easy to talk to. Ask questions she will surprise you with all the easy going talk and knowledge.I am glad I heard her advice to do it early before the big crowd hits the streets. She made awesome recommendations about the local restaurants if you are a foodie. Will do it again when I am back!

Tuvimos una excelente experiencia recorriendo Asakusa con Agustina. Desde el primer momento fue muy amable, conversadora y mantuvo una actitud positiva y entusiasta durante todo el recorrido. Agustina conoce muy bien la historia, las tradiciones y la cultura japonesa. Hallo zusammen! Ich heiße Masahiro, aber meine Freunde nennen mich Masa. Nach meinem Studium in Tokio habe ich von 2006 bis 2013 in Wien gelebt. 2013 bin ich endgültig nach Japan zurückgekehrt. I grew up in the UK, and have lived more than ten years in the UK and USA on overseas assignments. While I lived abroad, I started to realize how shallow my knowledge on Japanese culture, beliefs, history and food was for a Japanese resident, whenever I tried to respond to the questions my foreign friends had about Japan. For the last 20 years I’ve been doing a lot of domestic travel visiting areas that I’ve never been before, and studying history and culture, as well as enjoying Sake from all parts of Japan. From 2015, I intensified my studies of Japan, and in 2017, successfully received government certification as a qualified guide on Japan. Thinking it would help my studies as well as be beneficial for visitors to Japan, I opened a website titled “Rediscovering Japan” in 2016 to record my travels and share my experience with travelers to Japan. To date I have covered 25 of the 47 prefectures in Japan. I have found that rather than just visiting tourist spots at random, it is much more interesting if you have a clear theme of the places you are going to.
