About Tour Guide Nelson O.

Originally from Brazil with a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, I spent five years studying and working in Toronto, Canada, before moving to my wife’s hometown of Okinawa in 2017. Today, Okinawa is home, where we’re raising our two daughters.

Over the years, I’ve grown to love Okinawa not just as a beautiful place, but as a place I truly call home. As a local guide, active diver, and surfer, I enjoy sharing the island I know and love with people from around the world.

I believe the best experiences are more than simply visiting famous places. They’re about sharing stories, trying local food, discovering beautiful scenery, having a few laughs, and seeing Okinawa through the eyes of someone who lives here. I love connecting with people from different countries and, hopefully, turning a day together into a great memory—and sometimes even a lasting friendship.
