Thanks to Yumi

Dear Yumi Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! We wanted to tell you how much we appreciated the time spent with you during our trip to Nagoya. It was one of the most enjoyable highlights of our introduction to Japan, made even more delightful because of your pleasant, personable and perky spirit. The rain was overshadowed by your positive attitude and desire to make the tour a good experience for us and we enjoyed so much getting to know you. The time spent was more like a friend showing and sharing her city with us than a formal guided tour ... Thank you yumi Sincerely Darwin Sent from AT&T Yahoo Mail on Android

Dear Darwin, I am honored by the good reviews you have given me that are beyond my means. Actually, the time I spent with you that day was like spending time with my relatives. I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the kind and warm way you treated me. Although the weather was not so great, I had a very pleasant day thanks to everyone's cheerful and calm personalities. I hope you will visit Japan again! Warm regards, Yumi

What a memorable experience in Nagoya!

It was our first family trip to Nagoya. We were traveling with a nine-year-old girl. We visited many cities in Japan. This time, we mainly hired a local tour guide to help our girl appreciate Japanese culture and history. Ms. Yumi was very friendly and thoughtful. She built rapport with our family quickly. She was accommodating and tailormade a bespoke day tour experience for us, particularly for our girl who loves crafts. We had a great time learning about Japanese culture and the history of Aichi prefecture from her. Thank you, Yumi, for creating a memorable experience for us.

Maggie C.

Thank you Maggie for the highest praise. It was a really hot day that day, but I had a great time enjoying Nagoya's culture and food with you all. It was a great experience to be asked so many questions by those of you who had done your research on Japanese history beforehand. The craft store was fun! Please come to Nagoya again if you have the chance.

Great experience with Yumi!

Yumi was fantastic! Not only was she reliable and always on time, but her knowledge of the area was impressive. She explained everything in an easy-to-understand way, which made the tour enjoyable for everyone. Thank you, Yumi!

Thank you Laura for your very good review. I am so glad I had the opportunity to show your guests around. If you have any guests coming to Nagoya again, I would greatly appreciate it if you would contact me. Thank you very much!

Hello, I am Michiko , the same name of Japanese ex-Empress. I am a government certified tour guide. I have lived in Nagoya ( located between Tokyo and Osaka) for 35 years since I got married. I worked for JAL as a flight attendant in my 20's. After retiring JAL, I have taught English and Mathematics to junior and senior high school students for 20 years. I love traveling very much both domestically and abroad and enjoy walking around each city and talking with local people so that I can find out the way how to they live and think about their life. It's quite a fun for me. I also love hiking and mountain climbing in spring, summer and autumn, and skiing in winter. In the countryside of Japan there still remain those farming and fishery villages where people have been rooted in their land and community, living the way handed down from generation to generation. You can also enjoy the original Japanese landscape there. Why don't you get out of the hustle and bustle of your busy life and have a rest rich in nature in the rural Japan enjoying beautiful scenery and local food. I'm waiting for you!

Hello everyone! Many thanks for checking out my profile. I'm originally from New Zealand but have spent my adult life here in Japan. The Nagoya area has been my home since the early nineties. I have witnessed the region's transformation from a sleepy industrial city to the vibrant metropolis of today. I would love the opportunity to tell you about some of my adventures and also a few of the outstanding people I've met. I spent many years practicing karate and have also developed a deep interest in Buddhism. I speak Japanese confidently. I'm new to GoWithGuide but have previous experience giving walking tours. To be able to introduce you to a few of my favourite Nagoya suburbs would be a treat. There are fascinating, historic temples as well as a stupa that purportedly contains a portion of the Buddha's ashes. Also, there are numerous tempting eateries and a few quirky shops. I prefer guiding guests around these less visited areas as you can get a feel for how the locals live. I look forward to meeting you soon.
