Nagoya Golden Tour
Nagoya is the 4th largest city in Japan with a population of about 2.2 million. I would like to guide you Nagoya Castle, Osu Kannon Temple, old shopping streets, Oasis21 and Nagoya TV Tower. Nagoya Castle was first built by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1612. Afterwards it was burnt down in 1945 and it was reconstructed in 1959. You can see Golden Shachi on the both ends of the top roof. Furthermore the Honmaru (the keep of a castle) reconstructed in 2013 is open to the public, too.

Nagoya city is well known for it's tasty local dishes. Red miso is the go to flavor for many dishes like miso katsu, doteni and doteyaki, miso nikomi udon, and of course, miso soup. Also, there are many local izakaiyas and yakitori (grilled chicken) shops all over the city. Personally, I am most familiar with the Osu-Kannon and Nagoya station areas. “Fascinating and enjoyable day in Nagoya”
Had a great day with Noel, felt like being shown around by a friend. Noel took the time to find out about where we are from before we arrived and conversation flowed all day. Noel took us to neighbourhoods off the tourist track to see what felt like real Japanese life, unique shrines, temples and gardens. He had a great knowledge of local history and religion. Fabulous day, would highly recommend Noel if youre in town. Thank you Noel.

“Off the beaten path”
We had an awesome day exploring some hidden gems with Noel. The giant green Buddha was definitely a highlight. It was also great to learn the day to day life of an ex Kiwi lining in Japan. A lot was packed in to the tour time, but lots of photo and question opportunities. Many thanks!
