Hi! I'm Yukari.
I'm a government licensed guide of Kanazawa city.(Kanazawa Visitor's Host)
I was originally born and raised in Toyama prefecture.
I had moved 2 times within Hokuriku region in my childhood for my fathers job.
I've been living in Ishikawa for 16 years in total.(4years in my childhood and 12years since I married. )
I have a family of 4.
I'm raising 2boys and have 2dogs.
I love animals, nature, music, photos, camping, and good food.
So if you feel that I might have a similar taste with you, my tour will bring you a satisfied explore.
Here in Kanazawa, tourists have been increasing in number since the opening of Hokuriku Shinkansen in 2015. Many of foreign tourists are walking around throughout the city holding their smartphone by hand.
Every time I see those people, I felt that I might be able to do something which make their trip more memorable.
This is the reason why I took the license of Kanazawa Visitor's Host and started a local tour guide.
Although I've just started as a tour guide in 2018,I sincerely enjoy making a personalized plan that every single guest would be able to make the day here in Kanazawa perfectly.
I have ever lived in
Toyama, Fukui, Ishikawa, Chiba, Tokyo (Japan),and Toronto (Canada).
I have ever been to USA (Seattle, LA, CA, NY) Australia (Cairns) New Zealand(Auckland) Korea, China, and Canada (many cities).

Kanazawa private half day tour
We will stroll the castle town while enjoy talking about history, culture, art, and local foods. The attractions we visit are Kenroku-en Garden, Nagamachi Samurai District, and Higashi Chaya District (Geisha district) during 4 hours. ※This is a customized private tour. So the destination during the tour can be changed by your requests. For example, customize the tour including craft experiences or specific interest area.
Kanazawa Photo Strolling
Kanazawa was a flourished castle town based on a Samurai culture. You can see a mixture of traditional culture and modern city. If you like taking photos, please find a Kanazawa's lovely spot through your eyes. Let's bring your favorite camera and stroll the town! You will be able to walk through the attraction area where most of the tourists are not even aware of and let's take the best shoot!

“Beautiful Kanazawa (even in the wet!)”
Thanks Yukari for a lovely day around Kanazawa. Despite the weather not being the best it didn't dampen the experience. It even added to the armtnosphere at times. I appreciated your knowledge, preparation and company. It is always a pleasure to get the insights of a local, adding context, history and meaning to sightseeing. I would highly recommend anyone planning on visiting Kanazawa to spend some of your time there with Yukari.

“Wonderful Afternoon in Kanazawa! ”
My husband and I recently visited Kanazawa with Yukari. We had a wonderful experience!! She is very knowledgeable and a wonderful guide. We learned so much, and we were able to see a lot in only 3 hours. I wish we had been able o schedule an even longer tour. Thank you for everything, Yukari! I would highly recommend her if you are planning a trip to Kanzawa.

“Highly recommended.”
I just finished the tour of Kanazawa with Yukari. Although it rained along the way, on and off, it was an incredible tour. Firstly, being able to communicate, I must have talked her ear off. It was so nice to have help with such simple things as taking the bus, paying for things etc. The knowledge was very much appreciated, from the perspective of someone local but also historical. I learnt much more than I would have walking around by myself. History, folklore, tales and more. The garden, I must admit I originally did not care much to see, I could not have been more wrong. It was amazing to see how much thought went into a truly three dimensional space. It’s not just about the plants, the trees or the items placed it’s about the meaning of the spaces and how intelligently it’s all brought together over the course of lifetimes. I would have enjoyed walking through on my own but I am certain it would not have been as special without the knowledge from Yukari. This was just one part of a three part adventure. The samurai district, again, on my own I would have seen maybe half of what we saw and learnt much less. The geisha district as well. It’s like having a backstage pass to something more meaningful than you can imagine. This is why I chose a guide and I was not wrong in that. With Yukari I went places I would not have thought to go, down streets I would not have thought I was allowed to go and most of all acquired an experience I will cherish forever. For that, a huge thank you to Yukari.
