Hello! My name is Criselda, but friends and family often call me Selda. Welcome to my page and I'm glad you're interested in knowing about the wonderful city of Kanazawa with me. I am originally from the Philippines and I've been living and working in the Hokuriku region for almost 7 years. I definitely consider Kanazawa as my home in Japan. Kanazawa is known for many things including gold leaf, a rich samurai history, its beautiful gardens, delicious seafood, and historic Geiko (Geisha) culture. I would love to introduce these things and so much more! Did you know Kanazawa is also home to the oldest sake brewery in the region? What about the local ceramics and laquerware? You can also participate in different workshops like traditional Japanese sweets-making class, gold leaf pasting, Kaga-yuzen (local kimono brand) painting, and sushi-making using local ingredients. There are many beautiful known spots and a lot of hidden gems in the area and I can't wait to introduce them to you. One of my hobbies is photography and I will surely capture your moments in the city to make your stay extra memorable. I'm excited to meet you in the Golden City, Kanazawa.

Hello, my name is Shoten, please call me Sho. I was born in a local area in Toyama prefecture. I majored in civil engineering at a college and am interested in historical infrastructures. After graduation, I continued to study English at a local English circle. In international activities, I also guided foreign people around Toyama Prefecture, Ishikawa Prefecture, and Gifu Prefecture. The Hokuriku region has many sightseeing spots, including beautiful landscapes like Kenrokuen Garden and Tateyama, tasty food like traditional Kaga dishes and fresh seafood from Toyama Bay, and traditional crafts like Takaoka copperware and Inami woodcarving. “Wonderful tour of Kaga Onsen from Kanazawa”
Thanks for a great day Sho. We had previously been to Kanazawa and wanted to see something different. Sho arranged a full day tour for us visiting craft sites and a beautiful temple in nearby Kaga Onsen, ferrying us around in his own car, and returning us to our cruise ship at the end of the day. A great day out.

““Beyond the Postcards: The Ultimate Shirakawa-go & Takayama Experience with Raphael””
Our tour to Shirakawa-go and Takayama with Raphael was absolutely exceptional and far beyond what we expected. He began the experience with a clear explanation of the historical and cultural context, which made every location we visited much more meaningful. In Shirakawa-go, his insights helped us truly appreciate the uniqueness and heritage of the village. He took us to see houses arquitecture in a place where there were no tourists and made us understand all the how's. Takayama was equally impressive. Thanks to Raphael, we were able to see practically everything worth visiting. He guided us not only through the main highlights but also to unique places we would have never discovered on our own, including an incredible minimalist architecture museum and a fascinating retro museum showcasing Japanese programs that were broadcast internationally. We had lunch at a place where only rapahel can take you. Raphael’s knowledge, clarity, and passion make a huge difference. His English is perfect, and his Spanish is excellent, making communication effortless. If you’re planning to visit Shirakawa-go and Takayama, make sure to ask for Raphael. He elevates the entire experience and ensures you leave with a deep understanding of every place you visit.
