Here in Kanazawa, tourists have been increasing in number since the opening of Hokuriku Shinkansen in 2015. Many of foreign tourists are walking around throughout the city holding their smartphone by hand.
Every time I see those people, I felt that I might be able to do something which make their trip more memorable.
This is the reason why I took the license of Kanazawa Visitor's Host and started a local tour guide.
Although I've just started as a tour guide in 2018,I sincerely enjoy making a personalized plan that every single guest would be able to make the day here in Kanazawa perfectly.

“Beautiful Kanazawa!”
Yukari was very pleasant and made it very convenient to meet at our hotel. She was excellent in providing easy transit via bus to start our planned 6-hour tour with our first destination to Kenroku-en Garden. We couldn't ask for better weather to walk to all of our destinations. We enjoyed the Geisha and Samurai district as we strolled thru, but we hoped for a bit better communication with her English to learn more about the cultures and way of life during this historical period. In addition, we did not expect that the restaurant she proposed was closed that day as we wanted to experience an authentic local Japanese food for lunch. We did end up at a good small Ramen cafe. We expect the guide to call ahead to ensure the lunch plans are set, instead of researching and roaming the area, looking at menus, which caused some delay in our tour. Overall, Yukari is a good guide, and hope this feedback can help improve her tour experiences with English speaking clients.

Thank you for the review. I sincerely apologize for the lunch that I should've done a better preparation. Also I am deeply sorry for making you all disappointed about my tour. I'll keep doing my best to improve my English skills and knowledge as a professional tour guide. I truly appreciate your time and feedback.
“Best guide in Kanazawa - highly recommended ”
We visited Kanazawa in Nov 2024. If you are looking for a local guide who is knowledgeable, flexible and with great communication skills you don’t need to look any further. We had other guides in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka but Yukari is the best. She went out of her way to make restaurant reservations and took us to Yamanaka which was not part of the original tour plan.

Thank you so much for the great review. I was also able to spend a very special time with you two. I appreciate your cooperation to make our plan the best. That’s why we could actually make it. Hope to see you again in your place again!
“Wonderful tour”
Yukari was very kind and knowledgeable. She was able to customize the tour for us based on the weather and our lunch food choices. Highly recommend Yurkari as a guide.
