The Nagamachi Samurai District in Kanazawa is a well-preserved historic area that offers a glimpse into the lives of samurai during the Edo period. We will visit Nomura Family Residence and stroll the area.
Kanazawa Castle Park
Kanazawa Castle Park is a historic and scenic site.
We will walk through the castle park and Gyokuseninmaru Garden.
Kenroku-en Garden
One of the three best beautiful Gardens in Japan.
Enjoy strolling the garden.
Lunch
We will have Lunch at local restaurant.
Higashi Chaya District
One of the biggest geisha district in Kanazawa.
Stroll the area and enjoy the atmosphere.
Gold leaf shops, Japanese sweets shops, crafts shops.

Hi! I'm Yukari.
I'm a government licensed guide of Kanazawa city.(Kanazawa Visitor's Host)
I was originally born and raised in Toyama prefecture.
I had moved 2 times within Hokuriku region in my childhood for my fathers job.
I've been living in Ishikawa for 16 years in total.(4years in my childhood and 12years since I married. )
I have a family of 4.
I'm raising 2boys and have 2dogs.
I love animals, nature, music, photos, camping, and good food.
So if you feel that I might have a similar taste with you, my tour will bring you a satisfied explore.
Here in Kanazawa, tourists have been increasing in number since the opening of Hokuriku Shinkansen in 2015. Many of foreign tourists are walking around throughout the city holding their smartphone by hand.
Every time I see those people, I felt that I might be able to do something which make their trip more memorable.
This is the reason why I took the license of Kanazawa Visitor's Host and started a local tour guide.
Although I've just started as a tour guide in 2018,I sincerely enjoy making a personalized plan that every single guest would be able to make the day here in Kanazawa perfectly.

“Wonderful tour with outstanding guide”
I was in Kanazawa for one day while on a cruise. I knew there were a number things I wanted to see and do. Yukari offered a 6 hour tour that fit perfectly into my schedule, and included stops at all the places I wanted to see. I went with my sister and a friend. We all had an amazing time with Yukari. Planning and communication with Yukari was smooth and effortless. She promptly answered all questions, and made excellent suggestions for things to do, how to get from the port to the meeting spot in Kanazawa station, and what our options were for lunch. Yukari was so professional and thoughtful. She had an excellent plan for seeing the beauty of her town. She was always making sure we were comfortable with the pacing, and helped with photos. She is very knowledgeable about history and culture. And very good about clearly sharing her knowledge. We had a wonderful day and left feeling like we had a new friend in Japan. I highly recommend booking a tour either Yukari.

“Great day spent with Yukari round Kanazawa!”
Meeting Yukari was a lovely experience, as her personality shone out. She had organised a great day around Kanazawa - which is such a beautiful town - and we managed to see all the highlights - and there are many! -without too much trouble. Whether we were walking, or on buses or taxis, Yukari made it all very easy, as we constantly chatted. She was knowledgable and personable, and we felt very relaxed with her. Her choice of lunch spot was great and her detour to a gold leaf gilding workshop was really appreciated, as we were also interested in this part of Kanazawa's history. All in all we have great memories of the day, and can definitely recommend Yukari.
