Hi, I am Yoshie. I am a national government licensed English speaking Guide. I used to work for multinational companies and served as an interpreter for several years and travelled around Japan with coworkers. After having lived in Tokyo for some decades, now I live in my hometown, Fukui where you can have a great experience of Zen buddhism in the head temple of the Zen sect, Eiheiji which was founded in 1244. Fukui Dinosaur Museum is very popular regardless of age. It is one of the world's three largest dinosaurs. Echizen is also well known for Japan's handmade crafts including kitchen knives, washi paper, lacquer wares, Tansu chests and pottery. Seeing craftsmen's work right in front of you makes you excited and impressed. I have been travelling Kanazawa since my high school age so I know well about the town to show you around as well as Shirakawago, a day trip from Kanazawa. I live in Takaoka city in Toyama area, right next to Kanazawa area. I know the Hokuriku region has lots of attractive points, so I live in here. But these area are still developing area for sightseeing because it is a little difficult to see around by yourselves especially when you come for the first time. “Like spending the morning with a friend”
We spent a rainy morning in Kanazawa with Haru, and despite the less-than-ideal weather and my partner not feeling well, we still had a wonderful experience. Haru was very knowledgeable, but what really stood out was how personable and easy she was to spend time with. We truly enjoyed simply talking with her, learning about her family, her background, and asking all kinds of random questions along the way. It felt less like a formal tour and more like spending the morning with a friend who genuinely wanted us to have a great experience, even while adapting the pace to our needs. I highly recommend booking a tour with Haru. She was thoughtful, flexible, and engaging, and she also offers great travel recommendations for other parts of Japan as well.

What a delightful day we spent with Yukari in Kanazawa! She skillfully showed us around the highlights of the town, carefully considering our interests and timing.
