Hello, I'm Yuichi, an English tour guide in Hokuriku region. If you are thinking about traveling to historical places such as Kanazawa, Shirakawa-go and Takayama, I am willing to offer a tour. I can bring you to those popular destinations from my base, Toyama city. These are the examples of my tour: Kanazawa - Shirakawago - Takayama Takaoka - Gokayama - Shirakawago - Takayama Toyama - Tateyama Kurobe Alipne Route - Omachi (Nagano Pref.) During the tour I like to provide simple explanations about Japanese history, and small tips for using the Japanese language on your request. My interests are food, cooking, sake and wine as well as Japanese novels and movies. It would be possible to add those tastes to our tour including a visit to local wineries, movie scenes, etc... I had moved 2 times within Hokuriku region in my childhood for my fathers job. I've been living in Ishikawa for 16 years in total.(4years in my childhood and 12years since I married. ) I have a family of 4. I'm raising 2boys and have 2dogs. Here in Kanazawa, tourists have been increasing in number since the opening of Hokuriku Shinkansen in 2015. Many of foreign tourists are walking around throughout the city holding their smartphone by hand. “Wonderful tour w Yoji as Guide n driver”

We spent 4 wonderful days with Yoji going from Kanazawa to Shirakawago, then Takayama, Obuse (a chestnut town), then Jigokudani to see the snow monkeys and finally, Karuizawa. Yoji was attentive to our needs, quick to respond to our requests, provided instructions for us to walk ahead if he had to park the car n then quickly catch up w us. We maintained communications via WhatsApp so he can find us easily. We all felt a genuine caring attitude from Yoji n completely trust him. Yoji drove thru many windy roads n he handled all the curves expertly. None of us were car sick at all! Yoji research ahead of time the stops n lunch restaurants for the next day n advise us with the latest conditions n recommendations. We had many excellent meals based on Yoji’s recommendations! The tour went smoothly n we really enjoyed our time w Yoji. I highly recommend contacting Yoji if you are going to Kanazawa n Shirakawa / Takayama areas.

We spent 4 wonderful days with Yoji going from Kanazawa to Shirakawago, then Takayama, Obuse (a chestnut town), then Jigokudani to see the snow monkeys and finally, Karuizawa. Yoji was attentive to our needs, quick to respond to our requests. In Kanazawa, we went to the castle, the gardens, the geisha district, the samurai house and tasted gold leaf ice cream and some excellent coffee! Yoji gave us recommendations for dinner and I probably had the best meal this trip at Bakusa Kanazawa! We highly recommend Yoji as your guide if you plan to go to Kanazawa, Shirakawa n Takayama regions!
