We had a fantastic day with Yoji! He was incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable, making the whole experience both enjoyable and enriching. The tour was fascinating, well organised, and varied, with plenty of interesting insights along the way. Yoji made us feel very welcome, and our teenage kids really enjoyed spending the day with him, too! We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would highly recommend him to anyone visiting Kanazawa.

Our port call in Kanazawa was undoubtedly one of the highlights of our cruise, and much of the credit goes to our wonderful guide, Megumi (Megu). Travelling as a group of 14, we had originally prepared our own preferred itinerary, which we then worked closely with Megu to refine and perfect. Her local knowledge, excellent suggestions and thoughtful planning enabled us to put together a wonderfully packed programme, making the absolute most of our limited time in Kanazawa without ever feeling rushed. Megu took care of all the transport arrangements, ensuring our entire group was collected directly from the cruise port, comfortably transported between attractions and returned to the ship in good time. Everything was exceptionally well organised and ran seamlessly throughout the day. But what truly made this excursion special was Megu herself. Beyond being an extremely knowledgeable, professional and attentive guide, she is an incredibly warm, kind and engaging person. Her genuine enthusiasm and deep affection for Kanazawa were infectious. She didn’t simply show us the sights; she shared her love for her city with us, bringing its history, culture and traditions to life in a wonderfully personal way. Her warmth, patience and cheerful personality made everyone in our group feel welcome and ensured that the day was as enjoyable as it was interesting. We came away not only having discovered the beauty of Kanazawa but also feeling that we had spent the day with a wonderful friend. Megu is an absolute credit to her profession and a fantastic ambassador for Kanazawa. We cannot praise or recommend her highly enough. Thank you, Megu, for making our visit so memorable. You truly made our day special!

“Wonderful tour with outstanding guide”

I was in Kanazawa for one day while on a cruise. I knew there were a number things I wanted to see and do. Yukari offered a 6 hour tour that fit perfectly into my schedule, and included stops at all the places I wanted to see. I went with my sister and a friend. We all had an amazing time with Yukari. Planning and communication with Yukari was smooth and effortless. She promptly answered all questions, and made excellent suggestions for things to do, how to get from the port to the meeting spot in Kanazawa station, and what our options were for lunch. Yukari was so professional and thoughtful. She had an excellent plan for seeing the beauty of her town. She was always making sure we were comfortable with the pacing, and helped with photos. She is very knowledgeable about history and culture. And very good about clearly sharing her knowledge. We had a wonderful day and left feeling like we had a new friend in Japan. I highly recommend booking a tour either Yukari.
