Ever since I was a small child, My focus has always been toward a career in the tourism sector, and as I matured, I began to see Egypt’s rich cultural heritage as something to be cherished and preserved. This profound personal attraction to Tourism and Heritage Conservation has compelled me to pursue higher education and special studies in the field.

As a young woman, I followed my dreams and graduated from the Cairo University Faculty of Archaeology, Egyptology Section. And as my desire for learning about Egyptian heritage continued, I received a diploma from Helwan University in Tourism Guidance.

In 2003, I began working as a tour guide, specializing in tours spoken in the English language. Over the years in her professional career as a tour guide, I have provided services to tourists from all over the world. My knowledge of ancient Egypt, years of experience as a tour guide and the ability to speak advanced English has helped her to procure work with expats working in Cairo for companies such as USAID, World Bank and its affiliates, Proctor & Gamble and others.

"Seham says that working with individuals and groups of international tourists over the years has been a great blessing by teaching her about foreign nations and cultures". Explaining to tourists about Egyptian culture and heritage has inspired Seham to see the value of Egyptian civilization and history as seen through the passionate eyes of the tourists.

Seham said recently, “because of this passionate interpersonal exchange with tourists, I continue to increase my knowledge about heritage conservation, specifically, museums and displays, so I could more fully represent my country’s heritage.”
