About Tour Guide Alan D.

Hi and welcome! My name is Alan, I am 44 years old, and I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. Having been to 35 countries on all the continents of the world, and having lived in Australia, Holland, Israel and Argentina, I have had the opportunity to be in touch with different cultures and languages - and this grew my desire to show my city, Rio de Janeiro, to tourists.

I am a licensed tour guide in Rio by EMBRATUR, the Brazilian Institute of Tourism, and have been a private guide in Rio de Janeiro since 2013, having carried out hundreds of private tours of Rio, and have become more and more in love with my city and with my job as a Rio Tour Guide.

I am fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and have a BA in Social Communication. When I'm not guiding, I enjoy writing, reading, spirituality, hiking and studying languages (I also speak intermediate French).

In my private tours in Rio de Janeiro I use a 7-seater car (including me as rio de janeiro driver guide), and my motivation is to be flexible and to offer you tailor-made tours in Rio, customized to your needs and desires, optimizing your time in Rio.
