Welcome to Rio de Janeiro! Come fall in love with this marvelous city just like I did since I was a kid!! My name is Flavio, and I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. I am a Gastronomy Graduate and since 2002, I have worked in restaurants and hotels around the world (USA, France, Spain, Curaçao), always welcoming, serving, and in contact with people from all over the world. I am passionate about learning and knowing about stories, traditions, cultures, and obviously gastronomy, which makes me want to share everything that is best about our city. In addition to the usual touristic attractions, we can arrange personalized tours to places not all tourists know or think of going to, breaking taboos and showing various facets of the city. The tours are done with my own car, safe and comfortable. Let me surprise you what Rio has to offer you!!

Hi and welcome! My name is Alan, I am 44 years old, and I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. Having been to 35 countries on all the continents of the world, and having lived in Australia, Holland, Israel and Argentina, I have had the opportunity to be in touch with different cultures and languages - and this grew my desire to show my city, Rio de Janeiro, to tourists. I am a licensed tour guide in Rio by EMBRATUR, the Brazilian Institute of Tourism, and have been a private guide in Rio de Janeiro since 2013, having carried out hundreds of private tours of Rio, and have become more and more in love with my city and with my job as a Rio Tour Guide. I am fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and have a BA in Social Communication. When I'm not guiding, I enjoy writing, reading, spirituality, hiking and studying languages (I also speak intermediate French). In my private tours in Rio de Janeiro I use a 7-seater car (including me as rio de janeiro driver guide), and my motivation is to be flexible and to offer you tailor-made tours in Rio, customized to your needs and desires, optimizing your time in Rio. What I look for in each tour, is to provide you with an experience that you will remember for many years to come!

“A perfect day in Rio with Flavio”
Flavio was a fantastic guide and made our day in Rio truly memorable. He is friendly, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing the history and stories behind every stop, from Christ the Redeemer to the historic center. He was flexible, great with our daughter, and clearly cares about giving his guests the best possible experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. Highly recommended!

“Brilliant guide.”
Flavio was everything you would want from a guide to a new city. Timely, personable, knowledgeable and with loads of advice he helped us keep an appropriate pace throughout and we got to see everything. Nothing rushed. Nothing difficult and we tried a couple of his cafe and restaurant recommendations that evening with great sucess. He comes highly recommended.
