Thailand Private Tours & Local Tour Guides

Q: Do you need a tour guide in Thailand?

Yes. Having a local tour guide when visiting a country as layered and complex as Thailand is ideal. From navigating local customs and behaviors to tricky transport, a trusted guide ensures a smooth, hassle-free trip. Guides also help you avoid tourist traps and pitfalls, especially for foreigners traveling to the country for the first time.

Q: What is the best month to go to Thailand?

November to March is the best time to visit Thailand if you're looking for great weather, tour variety, and energetic festivals. Be sure to book travel plans in advance as November-March is peak tourist season. Full Article : Thailand Tourism Statistics 2023: All You Need To Know

Q: How much is a private tour guide in Thailand?

Depending on the location, tour length, and tour activities, you can book a GWG private guide from 45 USD per group/person to around 2000 USD per group/person. To get a full price breakdown, get in touch with our local Thailand guides .

Q: Why are private tours better?

1. You set your schedule. Our tours are customizable, so no early call times or late tours unless you want them. 2. You choose who's in your tour group, so there are no strangers around. 3. Your guide can introduce you to “skip the line” tickets and hidden offers that might not be known to the public, cutting down your wait time for popular venues. 4. You don't have to spend countless hours planning your trip. Just tell our local guides what you want, where you want to go, and the time you have, and they'll create a flexible tour that fits your needs.

Zarut S.

Hi, I'm Zarut—a licensed Bangkok tour guide, lifelong people-person, and firm believer that the best travel experiences feel less like a guided tour and more like spending the day with a knowledgeable local friend. For over nine years, I've been creating personalized experiences for solo travelers, couples, families, and small groups who want to discover the real Bangkok beyond the typical tourist trail. Whether we're wandering through vibrant local markets, cruising along hidden canals, tasting unforgettable street food, or uncovering the stories behind centuries-old temples, my goal is always the same: to help you experience the city in a way that feels authentic, relaxed, and memorable. I believe the moments people remember most aren't just the famous landmarks—they're the conversations over a cup of Thai coffee, the unexpected hidden alley that leads to a beautiful community, the laughter we share during the day, and those little local discoveries you would never find in a guidebook. Every traveler is different, which is why no two of my tours are exactly alike. I enjoy adapting each experience to your interests, pace, and curiosity, whether you're a passionate foodie, history enthusiast, photographer, or simply someone who wants to experience Bangkok like a local. By the end of the day, my hope is that you won't just leave with great photos—you'll leave with a deeper understanding of Thai culture, plenty of wonderful memories, and perhaps even feel like you've made a new friend in Bangkok. Looking forward to exploring the city soon, Zarut

“Wonderful customized Tour”

We could not have asked for a better day. Saroj, our guide was an absolute professional, engaging, knowledgeable and planned the trip too exactly fit our needs. Saroj spent the entire day, telling us about the ancient history of the area, taking us to a local market, which was wonderful, a boat ride around the island going to a local Thai restaurant instead of a tourist one. Can’t say enough good things about our guide and how easy it was to customize our day. Thank you for a wonderful day.

Saroj Y.

Dear Arthur and Leslie, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a generous and heartwarming review! Hosting both of you on your journey through Ayutthaya was a true privilege. My guiding philosophy has always been to steer away from rushed tourist crowds and instead curate mindful, unhurried journeys that connect travelers with authentic Thai heritage—whether that means uncovering centuries of history, enjoying the peaceful waterways from a private boat, or savoring genuine local cuisine at neighborhood favorites like 'Phak Wan.' Knowing that our customized day together felt effortless and delivered exactly what you were looking for is the highest compliment I could ever receive. I hope the rest of your adventure across Thailand was equally unforgettable, especially your time with the elephants in Chiang Mai. Wishing you both wonderful memories, safe travels, and good health ahead. It would be an absolute honor to welcome you back anytime! Warmest regards, Saroj
