“It was a lot more than I expected. I had so much fun.”
Berkay was super nice and professional. He took me to the Archers Lodge, which is a very exclusive and antient ottoman training area, and showed me the museum and the laboratories for the construction of bows. I had a chance to see people practicing, and even had the oportunity to practice myself in an amazing VIP shoting area. I will surely return to Turkey just to keep on practicing traditional ottoman archery. Thank you, Berkay.

Embrace authentic travel in Turkey with a private tour guide. Learn from an expert, create a personalized itinerary, and see the country from a local’s eyes.
A private tour guide in Turkey can transform your trip from a simple vacation into an immersive cultural journey. In Istanbul, a knowledgeable guide can provide detailed stories and historical context about landmarks such as the Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace, making these ancient sites come alive. Similarly, in Cappadocia, a guide can explain the geological formations and the history of the cave dwellings, enhancing your appreciation of this unique landscape.
The personalized attention and tailored experience that a private guide offers is unmatched. Unlike group tours, a private guide can adjust the itinerary based on your interests and preferences. If you’re a foodie, your guide can take you on a culinary tour of Istanbul, introducing you to local delicacies at hidden eateries. If you’re interested in history, your guide can focus on ancient ruins and historical sites, such as Ephesus, where they can share in-depth knowledge about the ancient city and its significance.
For first time travelers, having one can greatly enhance your experience. Turkey is a country rich in history and culture, and a knowledgeable guide can provide in-depth insights, historical context, and help you navigate through popular and hidden attractions.
They can also assist with language barriers and ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip. For first-time visitors, hiring a tour guide is highly recommended to fully appreciate the country's heritage and avoid any potential hassles.
To truly experience the diverse landscapes and cultural richness of Turkey, a minimum of 7–10 days is recommended. This duration allows you to explore major cities like Istanbul, Cappadocia, Ephesus, and Antalya. If you have more time, extending your stay to two weeks will enable you to visit more off-the-beaten-path destinations and enjoy a more relaxed pace.
The best time to visit Turkey is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (October to November) seasons. During these months, the weather is pleasant and mild, perfect for sightseeing and outdoor activities, with averages of 20-30°C. Spring brings blooming flowers and vibrant landscapes, while autumn offers warm days and cool evenings, making it ideal for exploring historical sites and enjoying the natural beauty of Turkey.
Turkey is generally a safe destination for travelers, but it's always important to stay informed about the current situation. Some governments strongly advise against touring anywhere 10km from the Syria/Turkey border.
It's advisable to check travel advisories from your government and follow local news for any updates. As with any travel, exercise common precautions, such as avoiding isolated areas at night and being aware of your surroundings. Tourist areas are usually well-patrolled and secure, ensuring a safe and enjoyable visit.
The best way to see Turkey is through a combination of guided tours and independent exploration.
For first-time visitors, we recommend the following;
If time permits, a visit to the coastal towns along the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts, such as Antalya, is highly recommended for a complete Turkish experience.
