Frequently Asked Questions

What type of clothes should I wear ?

You will need to wear sturdy shoes, as we will be walking on grass around the Stonehenge monument, and around the streets of Salisbury.

It is also advisable to carry a raincoat as the weather can be unpredictable in England.

What are the queues like at Stonehenge ?

The queues at Stonehenge depend on the time of year. The longest queues are in summer.

It is recommened to purchase your tickets to Stonehenge online beforehand, to save time on the day.

Will it be possible to visit the cathedral in Salisbury ?

It is possible to visit the cathedral in Salisbury, but this will reduce the time left to discover the city and have lunch.

I would recommend either visiting the cathedral or exploring the streets of the city and having a light lunch.

You can always grab a sandwich 'to go' and enjoy it on the journey back to Southampton.
