No trip to Santiago is complete without visiting the colorful hills of Valparaiso, Chile's 2nd largest city. For me, it's one of the most beautiful cities, every time I stay and sit somewhere feeling the breeze, it makes me go back to the times when my country was just beginning to be built.
I'll make sure you get to know its beauty & history, its charming colonial architecture and its harbour, which serves as the main port of our country.

We will enter Valparaiso via avenida Argentina, passing through Manuel Montt street, where we will pass by the Chilean building which has been in use since 1987. We will then head up one of the many Valparaiso hills, called Mariposa, where you will begin to see the beauty of Valparaiso port and beautiful colors of the houses
The Biskmark square, where we will stay for 10 minutes to stretch our legs and to take pictures of the harbor and the hills of Valparaiso.
We will begin one of the most wonderful walks of the tour, where we will explore two of the most well-known hills in the world: Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepción. These hills are deeply connected to our history, as they were home to the first houses built by the early immigrants who arrived in Valparaíso. Here, you will discover history, culture, murals, and vibrant colors, making it impossible to stop taking photos because every corner or hill has something worth admiring. We will then descend via the famous Peral Elevator, which has been operating since 1902, heading down to the flat area of the port.
"Reaching the flat area, we will arrive at Plaza Soto Mayor, which is the heart of the port of Valparaiso. Here, you will find some of the most important buildings in the city, such as the Chilean Navy and the Regional Intendancy, among others."
Here is an option to choose where to eat, you can do it at Valparaiso or Viña del Mar.
After a nice lunch, we will visit Viña del Mar, founded on December 28, 1874. You will see the second oldest casino in Chile, dating back to 1936, and take a tour of part of the city. Viña del Mar is one of the most visited cities on the central coast of the Chilean sea. At the end, you will also visit the famous Moai from Easter Island, which has been there since 1951, and admire its neoclassical architecture from the times of the first immigrants.
Heading back to Santiago.
