China National Tea Museum

We begin at the stunning China National Tea Museum, beautifully integrated into Jiangnan-style gardens and tea fields. Unlike rigid indoor museums, this is a living park. Your guide will walk you through the evolution of tea from its origins as a medicinal herb to its status as an imperial tribute. You’ll see ancient tea sets, learn about the historical tea horse road, and understand why Emperor Qianlong fell in love with this region.

Hupao Park

Next, we drive to Hupao Park, a deeply tranquil woodland sanctuary. In China, it is said that "Longjing Tea paired with Hupao Spring Water" is the ultimate culinary marriage. We will take a shaded walk past moss-covered rocks and Jiangnan streams to the historic spring.

Meijiawu / Longjing Village

We cruise deep into the mountains to Meijiawu, a legendary village carpeted in geometric, emerald-green tea terraces. Here, you'll put on a traditional straw hat and a bamboo basket, and step directly into the terraced fields. A local farmer will teach you the delicate art of "one bud, two leaves" picking.

While you wander through the endless green steps of the plantation, we will deploy a drone to capture professional, movie-like aerial photos and short videos of you. The contrast of the geometric green tea terraces against the misty mountains looks absolutely spectacular from above.

Yunqi Bamboo Path

To wrap up our day, we drive a short distance to Yunqi, a breathtakingly serene bamboo forest away from the lake's crowds. Walk down the historic stone path sheltered by thousands of towering, swaying bamboo stalks and ancient trees that are over a thousand years old. This location radiates a powerful Zen energy and has served as a cinematic backdrop for famous Chinese martial arts films.

* Best Season to Book (Spring Peak): While this route is beautifully green year-round, we highly recommend booking this tour between March and May. This is the golden spring harvest season in Hangzhou, where you will witness the lively spectacle of local farmers hand-picking the leaves and smelling the fresh tea being roasted over iron pans.
