Scarlett was a great guide. She picked me up from the airport, shared the history of the city and talked about its modern character. We stopped at several Micheline rated snack stands along the way! Very enjoyable half day.

“Great and Wonderful journey with Scarlett”

Scarlett is an excellent guide for our trip of 4 persons to Huangshan from Hangzhou for 5 days. She was very prompt in communicating with us, before and during the trip. She was very very patient with us, all over 65 years old hence climbing steps is a challenge, in guiding us when we walked up the Huanghsan Mountain. Along the way Scarlett  pointed out and explained various significant historical locations and great lookout spots along Huanghsan Mountain. She arranged the best time for us to set out to avoid crowds at various places at Huangshan Mountain. Scarlett greatly helped us to communicate clearly when we were at the hotels during check-in and at other times that enables us to have a pleasant stay, especially in Huangshan Mountain.  We engaged Scarlett with a car and a driver which Scarlett arranged, and it was a very comfortable electric 7 seater vehicle with a very good, patient & friendly driver. She also arranged for us to stay in quaint hotels inside picturesque scenic ancient towns, and included guided tours in Xidi. Other scenic towns include Hongchun, Huangling and Wuyuan. Scarlett patiently explained the historical significance and cultural development of the places we went so that we can appreciate what we experienced at the ancient scenic towns. Being an accredited tourist guide she could get quick access for us, being foreigners, in places that we visited and for the intercity train tickets as well. She always ensure that we are satisfied with our itinerary each day, and is always very flexible to where and when we decided to go for sightseeing places and even excellent local food, which she will recommended for us to choose along the way. Some of these unplanned places for food and local shopping streets exceeded our expectations. Scarlett is indeed not just a guide, but a great friend that the 4 of us had found.

“Hangzhou Day Tour”

Bed responded quickly and efficiently to my enquiry and customized a wonderful one-day tour for us. He also arranged early registration for the Lingyin Temple visit before the tour began, which we later realized made the experience extremely smooth despite the huge crowds there. He picked us up at the hotel, and we started at Hefang Street, a beautifully preserved ancient shopping alley. We then drove to the Grand Canal, the world’s oldest man-made waterway. After that, we visited West Lake, where he thoughtfully chose two contrasting spots — one famous and lively, the other peaceful and tranquil — allowing us to experience both sides of its charm. The next highlight was Lingyin Temple and Feilai Feng, the spiritual heart of Hangzhou Buddhism, with its many well-preserved ancient Buddhist stone carvings, some carved directly into the caves. We ended the tour at a tea plantation, where he arranged for us to pick tea leaves while being filmed by a drone (my wife’s highlight of the tour). We also had the opportunity to experience making matcha tea before he drove us to our dinner venue. Throughout the day, Ben was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the history and cultural background of each site. The itinerary was compact, as per my request, but Ben arranged everything so efficiently that the day still felt relaxed and enjoyable. His car was clean, and his driving was excellent. I highly recommend Ben to anyone planning a tour in Hangzhou.
