Meeting Point

in front of the Egyptian Museum

- Right in front of the main gate of the Egyptian Museum, Cairo center, Tahrir Square.

08:20 AM

The famous Tahrir Square, the landmarks that surround it.

The historic background of the square. Why it is so famous, What are the major events took part here, and Why it is considered as the beating heart of the city of Cairo. While walking in the square, the iconic and historic buildings are intensely present and obviously seen; the Arab League building, the old building of Egypt's Foreign Ministery, which once was a princess palace, the famous Omar Makram Mosque, the building of Mogamma, the biggest in the area, the governmental building that was untill very recently for entery visas, migration documents. The Mogamma is part of the modern history of Egypt due to the events took place in it throughout the last sixty years. The building of the American University in Cairo, one of the most famous educational institutions in Egypt. Each and every edifice of those standing to embrace the square has some stories to tell. We put you in the context of the events by shedding light on them in an interesting way !

09:00 AM

The National Museum of the Egyptian Antiquities

It is one of the landmarks, a must-seen place in the heart of Cairo center. It is the home of what ancient Egyptians had introduced to the modern world. What they did is putting their thoughts in different artifacts that bear their concepts of life after death, how it proved to be unwavering faith deeply rooted in the society. They had no such concept "art for the sake of art". They have stories to tell, concepts to reflect, etc... To decode these messages, we shall put things into their original context when they have only endless arid desert, the river (the Nile), the sky, the moon, the stars, and the sun. Artifacts housed in this historic building, tell us how they did manage their day to day life, individual activities, social activities, etc. ... We are to ask them unavoidable questions, they are ready to tell healing answers!!! Only have the patience to listen and learn. Old Kingdom era artifacts are to meet you when you first enter telling you about the Pyramids builders. The Middle Kingdom era is also covering broad section here. The New Kingdom era is when everything had reached its epics. You will put your visit to the museum to a happy end by meeting the legendary pharaoh, the Golden Boy, the Boy King, better known as the Golden Pharaoh, Tutankhamen. His spellbinding golden treasures are to blow one's mind!

Ending Point

The Happy End is always to inspire us.

About Tour Guide Aly E.

As an Egyptology-expert guide, I'm a living bridge between past and present, and that’s exactly what makes a tour unforgettable. By treating monuments as storytellers rather than stone relics, I invite visitors to hear the voices of ancient craftsmen, priests, and everyday people, turning a sightseeing trip into a dialogue across millennia. My emphasis on modern Egyptian culture—food, music, hospitality—adds a human layer that helps travelers feel they’re part of a continuing narrative, not just observers of history. Flexibility and passion are the secret ingredients that transform a standard itinerary into a personalized adventure, allowing you to pivot from a crowded tomb to a hidden local cafe' when curiosity sparks. This holistic approach not only deepens tourists’ appreciation but also nurtures a sense of belonging, making Egypt feel like a second home for them. It’s a powerful reminder that heritage tourism thrives when we weave together archaeology, living culture, and genuine human connection.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a great review. I hope that we can meet again in Cairo or elsewhere in Egypt. Always motivated by positive energy given by nice travelers like you, I promise to always be one of the good memories of Egypt. Best regards

Excellent Egyptologist with strong connections – unforgettable Dahshur & Saqqara day

I booked Aly for a deeply meaningful visit to Saqqara and Dahshur on my birthday, and overall I had a very memorable experience. Aly is knowledgeable, well connected, and clearly has long experience working in these archaeological areas. His strength is that he is not just a guide reading from a script — he has real relationships with guards and because of that we were able to access areas and tombs that I would not have known about or been able to arrange alone. The Dahshur pyramids were incredible, and the Red Pyramid interior was one of the highlights of my entire trip. Aly also went out of his way to make my birthday special. He arranged a lovely lunch, and surprised me with a birthday cake and even an Egyptian band at the restaurant. As a solo traveller, this meant a lot and made me feel celebrated. One thing I would advise future travellers is to clarify in advance whether the tour is strictly private/solo if that’s what you are intending, as my tour ended up including three other travellers. They were lovely people and Aly did compensate by including lunch, but I had originally booked and paid for a solo experience, so I would have preferred to know ahead of time rather than being asked on the spot. Overall, I would definitely recommend Aly if you want a guide with deep local access, strong organisation, and a very full day of ancient sites — especially Memphis, Saqqara and Dahshur
